My boyfriend got banned for 15 MINUTES just cause he left TWO games!!! First game he no longer desired playing and second game was cause he had incompetent teammates! I really want to rip into someone now cause unlike my cool headed boyfriend, I am a evil b*tch!!! >:[
You leave matches, you get punished. It’s as simple as that. You don’t want to get punished? Don’t leave. If it was due to internet going down or a powercut, I would understand, but it’s life. You move on. It’s only fifteen minutes. Use that time to take a break.

Exactly. You leave a multiplayer game, you bring down the experience for everyone else. In singleplayer you can stop playing and it will have no affect on others, but a huge part of multiplayer is maintaining an even team balance; someone leaves and the game becomes immediately unfair. You can argue that Halo 5 has issues with even distribution of skill levels, and many do, but quitting a game because you don’t like how it’s going just makes things worse for everyone. There should be a punishment for doing it intentionally, and at the end of the day 15 minutes is not a very long wait.
I am happy to see the ban hammer getting stricter. I always thought it was to lenient. Quitters were and truly do ruin the game. That is why I stick to FFA so much now. In H5 I will only rank FFA because quitters in ranked make it not really worth playing especially with team based ranking.
