From what we know of the Halo Universe, “smart” A.I.'s are built using the brain patterns of existing individuals. Given that detail, if you could have one character from Halo come in A.I. form, who would you choose?
Would you want Captain Keyes as an A.I.? The Arbiter? Jorge? Srgt. Johnson? Any character, any reason why. Cortana certainly has a personality all her own, but that doesn’t mean we couldn’t spice up the A.I. department a bit.
My personal selection would be Johnson. We’ve had 3 female (technically?) A.I.s, so I figure its time us guys got a chance. Between the fanbase he has, the humor he could bring to the table, and the familiarity his presence would instill, he seems like an awesome choice.
What about you guys? Who would you turn into an A.I.?
I was actually hoping for something like that for Firefight; like you said, you can almost imagine it with the different voices…but it would have been so much more badass to have a running commentary from an A.I. of your customized choosing

Hahaha I gotcha, good reasoning. Sorry, but when you say a classy guy I imagine his character display as someone with a monocle and mustache.

It is not really about experience it is more about actual brains. I don’t know if Lasky is “genius” enough to be an AI. Not saying he is dumb, I am saying you have to be some wickedly smart person.

I wasn’t going strictly on a canon basis; the resources wouldn’t be wasted to make an A.I. out of some random person. I was just saying on a “if you could” basis

Does it matter who? I think it would be creepy to want to dissect someone’s brain and turn them into an AI. But I suppose since AI’s can take any form they could be anyone, but asking them to mimic another person is equally weird.
I would rather have AIs that acted like certain people. Infinity likely has many AIs, we know of at least two. If I could choose I’d have an AI like Sergeant Johnson of course, as well as Sarina from Halo Wars, she just made the game that much better.

you must remember that AIs are made with dead peoples brain tissue. cortana was the only AI made from a living brain. (dr halsey)

and they arent asked to mimic other people, they naturally inherit the traits of the person they were based on. and they have no memory of who they are based on.
See, I just want a bit of humor thrown in. Besides Johnson, the only real comedic events were bits of dry humor from Cortana. I love every aspect of the Halo series, but I wouldn’t mind a few more laughs thrown in if they are done tastefully; having an interesting A.I. could certainly do that
