Look what bungie did with Halo 3 ViDoc: Quisnam Protero Damno! It’s been 5 years and we have to wait until July then that’s only 4 months until release. 343 better make sure they are doing things right because if its a hybrid of Halo 4 and 5 man its going to be horrible.

They’re using lessons from both Halo 4 and 5 and an artstyle loosly resembling the older games. I’m sure they know what they’re doing.

“If it’s a hybrid of 4 and 5 it’s going to be horrible”

I don’t know man. I can agree with the 4 part but 5 doesn’t seem to be the absolute-mess that some people try and make it out to be. From where I’ve seen, most people seem to at the very, very least tolerate it and the people who genuinely hate it just yell and shout the loudest while the people who like or love it are much quieter. Other than Spartan Charge 5’s multiplayer felt the best since Halo 2. And no I didn’t “start with 4” nor have I played a Call of Duty game in my life, I started with CE just a few weeks after it came out, and H2’s been my favorite MP experience until 5. I just genuinely enjoy 5’s multiplayer - again ,with the exception of Spartan Charge (and to a lesser extent, ADS on melee weapons and Ground Pound)

If it’s a hybrid of 2 or 3 with a dash of 5 it’d probably be just fine and be more of what we got going on right now: People who hate X or Y feature will rant, rage and denounce the game as horrible over that one feature, while everyone else will keep on enjoying it whether they tolerate or love the features.

I agree, Halo 5’s multiplayer with a few exceptions (spartan charge, ground pound etc) would fit nicely with Infinite.

It has been confirmed that they will be reverting back to a more classic art style. I mean we’ve already seen the Chief and he obviously looks more classic and certainly not a hybrid of 4 and 5 (obviously he wouldn’t look any different anyways) But it’s clear they’re going more classic.

For the record I like his new 343 armor I think it makes him look more bada**

Yeah I have a bit of a hard time imagining Infinite reverting all the way back to pure Halo 2 at this point, after three whole games with varying levels of “advanced” mechanics (Reach’s armor abilities, Reach/4/5 having sprint, etc) and then all of a sudden “poof” it’s all gone. I’m almost certain some aspects of Reach+ would end up remaining in the game.

One way or the other though, pure classic or not, I feel I’ll end up loving it.

Master Chief shouldn’t just forget how to sprint.
