Well, go ahead and post your vehicle ideas for UNSC/ Covenant/ Forerunners, etc. I’d love to hear them!
Also, what would be the carry cap of your vehicle? Would it have shields? What weaponry, and how fast would it be? What would be its strengths or weaknesses?
RAT Komodo MBT (rapid automatic targeting)
Purpose: ANTI-SIEGE DEFENSE
Armament:
- RAT Heavy Sentry Turret
-210 deg field of horizontal view- vertically it is only about 70 degrees.
-auto-targets foes, like the H4 dominion turret
-when shooting at a vehicle, the first bullet contains emp properties. After this, every fourth shot at that vehicle dies as well. So once hit that vehicle is screwed.
-Kills a Spartan in four shots
-25 BR shots (75 burst projectiles) to “destroy” the turret. When destroyed it will collapse like the Halo 4 turrets do in standby mode.
-when the turret is deactivated, it can be reactivated fifteen seconds later by standing over it and holding x for two seconds.
-note: the turret will be on the team of whoever reactivated it, but cannot shoot the Komodo itself no matter what.
- Same machine gun as found a Scorpion
Shields: Shields continually regenerate at 25% the speed of a Spartan’s. They are 200% as durable as a Spartan’s, however. The turret does not have any shields.
Unshielded durability: Equivalent to that of a Scorpion.
Controls:
-Move/ look: same as for Scorpion
-Toggle RAT shooting on/off: Right Trigger (off lets you be sneaky-ish).
-D-Pad Direction: Manually select an in-range target for the turret to shoot at (can manually target vehicles and enemy Spartans- the turret does not otherwise target unmanned vehicles)
-LT: Retract RAT turret by holding for 1/2 second (can be used strategically- if the turret is at, eg, 50% health, and you have a break from action, press LT, then wait the 10 seconds, then have someone reactivate the turret and it will have full health.
Range: ~5 Scorpion lengths away, for the RAT turret
Strengths: Ghosts (cannot shoot when EMPd); Mantises (their missiles must charge to take out the turret in one shot- by then it will be too late and the Mantis will be EMPd; infantry, especially Unshielded (the turret quickly rips through soft flesh).
Equivalents: Scorpions (comes down to who shoots first- if the Scorpion hits the turret the Scorpion will win. If the Scorpion doesn’t blow the turret up with its shot though, the Komodo will win [remember to have your gunner take the enemy gunner out, or EMP, then briefly target the Scorpion machine gunner to kill him, then switch back to EMPing the Scorpion]. If the Komodo hits first it will win, but remember- it will take some time to completely destroy the Scorpion); Falcons (wins at a distance, loses if the Falcon gets close enough to be out of sight]; Wraiths (slight advantage vs Wraiths, really, due to the shot travel time of a Wraith.).
Weaknesses: banshees (they can fly above the sight of the Komodo); hunters (their shields can simply deflect bullets)
Crew: you’ll want at least three Spartans- one to drive, one to gun, and one to reactivate the turret if it goes down.
