is it against the rules encounter a bug in game such as an enemy disappearing. I just want to check and make sure as that recently happened to me in a campaign and I wanted to make sure that I wasn’t breaking any rules that could get me in trouble or make my file/profile less “legitimate”
It doesn’t sound like you’ve broken any rules OP, so I don’t think there’s anything to worry about. If you were just playing campaign as normal and some enemies despawned then that’s ok it does happen from time to time. You can actually force enemies to despawn sometimes, speedrunners, glitch hunters, LASO/Mythic runners and easter egg finders usually makes use of these tricks so that encounters are a little easier or so that they can skip past certain areas
OP- The only time you could get into trouble with Xbox Live is if you modified your actual xbox. Microsoft can detect when an xbox has been tampered with and can ban you. It’s possible you could get into some sort of trouble if you exploited glitches in multiplayer. However, any glitches you exploit and/or accidentally run into in single player isn’t being tracked by anyone.
Ok! Thanks for the answers! I really do appreciate them

Thank you so much for the information! I really do appreciate it!
is it ok to encounter glitches in local multiplayer or is that not tracked?

In games like Halo 2 there were some button glitches that you could take advantage of if you learned how to do them. They weren’t supposed to be there, but they were generally accepted by a lot of the community. If you find a glitch, as long as it’s not horribly game breaking and you use it all the time I think you should be ok.If someone is using a glitch or exploit on you a lot, you are best to file a report against their gamertag so it can be looked into.
Anything you find - like a section of the map you can hide in, a way to get infinite rockets in multiplayer, make a clip of it if you can. You can post here in the support forums and / or send the details over to B is for Bravo, the Community Manager for Halo. If you have a twitter account you can send a tweet to him @Brav
