I was playing a quickplay match with a show on my other monitor when all of a sudden my computer locked up and colors on my monitors randomly inverted. I had to hit my power button on the system.
I think this might get locked by moderators. They don’t want any bug reports on here, just the separate halo support site, which I can’t link to because of my forum rank, sorry.

dont let your cpu or gpu hit 100% ever. thats what does physical damage to your monitor/pc. lol. its not that it can hit 100% which is ok its if one punches the other like your gpu ramps up and smashes the cpu through the screen lol.
As far as I could tell it didn’t get that high. I have a Ryzen 9 3900XT and a 3080 so I highly doubt they did peak. CPUs usually around 20%-30% whilst GPU is like less than 30% while the games running even with other stuff on my other monitors. This was a first time thing.

if you are playing with min off and max unlocked you can basically get booted out of the game by ANYTHING better than you. Or even a group of other players that take bandwidth and lets say need to spawn behind you all at the same time. I had to find a min and max to balance it on because of a 240hz monitor that keeps pushing the cpu over the limits. even if its like 60% usage sometimes it jumps so high it boots. im guessing because crossplay or something and how xbox needs to vsync. certain circumstances.
Strange. I have both my max and min as the same. Maybe that’s part of the issue?
yeh, thats exactly why its crashing. your trying to pin up a number so it cant juggle. what is your refresh rate?. you should vsync it and see if it matches your refresh rate. for example I have a 240hz monitor but when I vsync it it goes to 60fps. so I have min on 60 even tho it can do 240hz itll sync it because my cpu cant handle 240fps AT 240hz. and then my max is 80 because at 240hz my pc averages like 75 fps. You want to find a min and Max. Max should be the highest setting you can do with vsync on and min should be like I said. What IT CAN DO with vsync on. …AND THEN TURN IT OFF! lol. So, mine is minimum 60 maximum 80 Vsync off at 240hz with an i7 6700 gtx1050ti.
I’ve left it at default (I have basic monitors 60hz [Hopefully my new ones ship soon lmfao] ) its at 60 min and max. VRAM usage is 700MB below “Ideal” so I don’t think its running out randomly.
It really depends where the spikes are. if your monitors 60hz. Is 60 the max number besides custom and unlocked? you might actually benefit from unlocked framerate if your only at 60hz. And then try min 60. because you have a really nice pc set up. and see what it flux is. you shouldn’t bog 60 the whole time or be somewhere outlandlish like 300fps. if so you should set a custom number to a lil over what your average fps is. but yeh, with those settings i would use that. 60 min. unless the choices go higher but i think its capped at your physical refresh rate 60hz. EDIT: if yours is default 60min 60 max. just unlock max and see what happens. im sure if youve got 60 60 and its not vsynced its gunna wanna crash.
Yeah max is capped out at monitor refresh rate.
Theres an option “unlock” frame rate choose that your set up should get like at least double 60fps. with a 60hz refresh rate your probably even best off with minimum set to “off” as well because that would help with filling in the rest of the vram. or whatever.
I don’t appear to have an option to unlock frame rate caps.

Edit: Still though with an unlocked frame rate I don’t go above 30% usage on GPU and my CPU is stuck at 40%.
Well, if max is unlocked. fiddle with min. sometimes “off” gives you the least fps/most cpu usage. and sometimes the max will. In your case just use best fps because im sure its not gunna matter. But, as far as I know your prolly only crashing because youve got it 60/60 and not v-syncing it. try all the settings it would be funny to know if min off and 60 max vsync works.

try off and unlocked. and you can toggle fps in ui HUD settings.
Yeah true what can I say they were free lol. Min 60 Max Unlocked I get 140 FPS.
HAHA. well there ya go. but go play a game and see how low it actually goes and if it doesnt fall under 60 you can go ahead and put min to 60. thats kinda how those settings work. to test your frame rate. you can also set a custom maximum to keep it steady somewhere inbetween without pinching it to a crash. I dont do custom because mine sits pretty around 60 min 80 max and those are default on the list.
