Even if you set a Halo 2 Classic custom game to allow changing teams mid-game, there is no option to actually do it when you press the Menu button while in the match. Same goes for being able to select your next loadout in Halo 4 by pressing the Menu button (instead of waiting until you die and only getting 3 seconds to look at and choose your loadout). The ability to do these very simple tasks was in the original games, so please restore them.
I don’t think I’m asking too much, here. Considering that the description of this forum is, “REPORT ISSUES AND SHARE SOLUTIONS RELATED TO HALO: THE MASTER CHIEF COLLECTION”, why is it that we never see a response from anyone in 343? Or even someone representing 343? All it takes is a cookie-cutter, “We have noted your concern and are looking into it” to placate us, your community members.
A part of my job is managing a Help Desk system for a measly 350 users of some in-house software, and we always let the user know that we have at least seen their ticket, even if we can’t make any promises on when a fix will happen. And that’s on top of my programming responsibilities. And I’m only one guy, so don’t tell me that 34Microsoft Industries doesn’t have the capital/manpower to fulfill this simple and self-evidently essential obligation.
343, you have a lot of reparation to do in order to establish clean lines of communication and, more importantly, trust. But who am I kidding? The only people who will EVER read this post, much less this comment, are other equally unheard and ignored community members. sigh… why do we even bother…

Well I truly appreciate you responding. I only wish Halo fans had some sort of avenue of influence with 343. Anything close to the clout that the hand-chosen group of MLG gamers has would be nice. 343 is throwing 2001-era social gamers like me out of the window to appease the MLG culture. At least that’s what it has felt like since November 11th.

I hope the Community Feedback program is the turning of a new leaf. Perhaps one day I’ll be in 343’s “in crowd” (as unlikely as that is). I’d use that pedestal to run polls, hear from people who love Halo’s legacy - pretty much try to water down the oligarchy so it feels more like a representative democracy.
Naively idealistic daydream over.
