secondary weapon button assignment when I downloaded the current build didn’t retain the macro. It’s a problem.
I think that is a problem.
yeah, cause I can drop the primary just fine and get the secondary that way but the action on the Y button on console doesn’t activate. had to go into the settings and manually assign the Y button on Xbox one s controller. also the way the assignment menus is set up is very wonky and not intuitive. I get seriously confused trying to navigate the menus. Especially in the config settings. I think there is too much customization for the Xbox menus. I’m more a filthy casual these days, I don’t understand half of what these settings are or what their descriptions mean.

also the cancel matchmaking button doesn’t work in the UI.

its faster paced but I still go for that dash button.
we might add it back in the final release build.

hey sketch…so you need to break off a dev team for the series x. the more I play this build the more I’m running into graphical issues such as plasmas not sticking to their intended target, they literally fly through the character model. Different than the known grenade throwing issues. I couldn’t manage to get the dysync issue to happen when spamming grenades. Also I was getting a lot of texture popping on respawning.

There is something going on with the FOE system. I was attacking a scorpion and the build dinged me -100 for killing a friendly. I am not sure what happened.
We will see whats going on.
K. I was pretty sure the build marked it as foe. also the vehicles are popping out as soon as they are destroyed. But it might have been jacked just as I threw the grenade that destroyed it. The build is very fast paced and I kinda work to replay it in my memory as to what was going on. Not saying its a legit bug, but I definitely think there is something wonky going on with the scorpion tank.

build isn’t reading the kills correctly with a battle rifle engagement I had. My guy came around with a hammer while I had the enemy pinned down. He got the kill but it gave me a from the grave award after for a grenade I threw. There were a lot of elements going on at once during this engagement, so I think the build got confused.
What else are you running into?
Hard to say. It plays good, solid bones. But its a much different vibe than Guardians MP. Vehicles are not registering hits on player character models, and the vehicle physics is absolutely not right. I feel like I’m sliding around on greased duck -Yoink- in the warthog and ghost. Ghost non-boost speed needs significantly reduced. I am legit trying to break this build.

Also, plasma pistol is not disabling vehicles properly. I saw it happen with my own eyes. It was a solid hit but no temp disable from the EMP on the warthog.
Known issue but its important to know which vehicles its not effecting.
yeah the weapon hits issue is not rare, common in fact. I’m not seeing the desync with the grenade throwing issue. that chopper bug I was reading about is kinda hilarious. There was also an issue with picking up a canister. There was no on screen text saying that was what I was picking up. I was going for the commando rifle and the build selected the canister instead while over by the loot cave coming from the canyon base. Need to play a few more. The physics in the game is good for solid objects, I can throw a canister into the man cannon and it has a good solid arc. Oh, and when jumping on a pelican when ordinance is being dropped results in a death/suicide, even when you get off of it quickly as as you are moving across the map. Let me see what else I can think of.

Major Issue: when a teammate is holding a canister the build is not registering friendly fire. I was trying to see if the canister would explode when I shot it but none of the hits I pegged the teammate with registered on his shields at all. The transparency issue is happening because the build is pulling the system file for the active camo. There is something telling it to pull that file and its applying the effect. It happened when I got popped with a sniper round. Something about those two files is confusing the build. I think the drop wall needs a little more HP also. A high powered weapon and a common deal the same amount of damage to the panels. A sniper bolt should carry through it and deal some sort of moderate damage to the person behind it. The drop wall seems to have the same amount of HP reduction rate regardless of weapon.
How do you even figure this out?
I’ve studied for YEARS. Because the second I stepped foot onto that ring I was in love with game design and story telling.

When button mashing during black loading screen there is a serious audio feed back issue that develops.
What do you think it is?
Either I’m putting too much stress on the xbox one s processor or there is a problem with the build. Either the xbox is having a buffering issue from the number of commands inputted or the build is rerouting audio from the microphone though its systems and back into the speaker in the headset. unplugging and plugging in the headphones doesn’t work. This also crashed the build, twice. That black loading screen still chugs on 5 when button mashing. even with the final build.
Sketch: So what’s your final feedback?
You NEED more flights. Solid bones, but lots and lots of little issues that make playing difficult. I do, however, like the increased movement speed of the Spartans. It feels so fast compared to Guardians. I also really love the personal AI’s, they are a FANTASTIC addition and I was laughing and enjoying the commentary they provided the entire time. I would add more fun dialogue and have it speak more often. Pyramid Boy is my favorite.

Again, my pleasure. These are just my observations I was jotting down while playing. I had the known issue list open and was trying to recreate some things. I just do things sometimes as a dialogue because it helps me work through issues and problems in a constructive way. There is more feedback coming but I would prefer to give it in a private setting.
