bug I think

Hi, I dont usually post to these forums. I’ve been experiencing an issue where I get disconnected from any game mode from any playlists, and this happens every 2-3 games. Where I then have to restart the game for it to work again. This issue has been happening from a week after i got the game on, so around 2 weeks after release.

Same thing is happening to me. Are you in the States? If so what is your ISP and does it happen during peak times? Lastly did you open all the right ports? Hope I’m helping…

To be honest it happens any time I’m on and that isnt necessarily at peak times. I’ve been on in the morning, afternoon, evening and night and it still always happens

Okay so the XBOX communicates over a number of ports with both UDP and TCP, normally your router might have a feature called UPnP in which the router sort of “listens” for these ports that need to be opened in order for the game to work. My experiences with UPnP have been less than desirable so I end up using what is called “port forwarding” in order for all of the communication channels to work for the XBOX. Each router is different so it is hard to tell but I would say Google how to log into your router model and enter the ports found here: http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/networking/network-ports-used-xbox-live

For what it is worth a lot of gamers outside of the States have been having severe connection issues. I also forgot to mention that if your NAT does not say “Open” it is likely because all the ports are not open to your XBOX.

It’d not the ports man. Its the halo servers and whatever bug is in the game too probably. I have zero issues with other games but halo is complete crap. Game will die pretty quick bc of the issues.

I hear ya, just making sure people have their bases covered so false reports aren’t getting bundled in with all of the connection complaints. It is pretty clear cut the persistent connections die during matches for some reason. It is also comical that 343 “tip toes” around these comments and answers the ones they can answer.

I still have this issue, and now I’ve just been banned again for the game booting me out itself. This has happened before where I’ve been banned from nothing of my own fault; is no 343 support team going to at least acknowledge this message?
