BUG: Banhammer strikes and it's not my fault.

I keep getting hit by the banhammer due to a bug in Halo 5 and there’s nothing I can do. I’d like to point out that the game was purchased on the Xbox store online and was downloaded to my hard drive. (no DVD)

Here are the steps that occur:

  • I’m in a party and a fireteam with some friends. - Every now and then, Halo 5 crashes and restarts. At this time, my friends say the game is starting and a random player appears on their team. - After my friends’ game is finished, I join back up with their fireteam, while remaining in the party. - The game starts and my player does not move no matter what button I press. The only thing I can do is press the Xbox button to navigate to anything outside of the Halo 5 game. Due to inactivity, my player is kicked from the game because I cannot move or do anything, - I restart the Xbox console. - Halo 5 launches and I can’t navigate in the menus. (select campaign, multiplayer, etc.) - I restart the Xbox console again. - Once Halo 5 launches, I get The Banhammer Strikes message. (three times ago I was banned for 6 hours, the last time 12 hours, now it’s currently 26 hours and 53 minutes!!)Will someone at 343 please reset my account with the banhammer? No idea why this keeps happening, but this bug really needs to be fixed as it’s not fair that I paid for the game and am getting banned due to nothing that I’m doing wrong. I’m tempted to set up a video of my TV so I can show how ridiculous this is. Who knows how long I’ll be banned the next time it happens. 50 hours+?

Is there anyway that I can log a support ticket or a bug or something with Halo 5 besides post in the forums? Something really needs to be done about this problem.
