I want to love you Carbine, I really do. But you always seem to s*** the bed in gunfights. It is out competed by pretty much every weapon in the game. I really think this weapon needs a faster kill time to bring it up the speed with the DMR and BR, which seem to beat it at any range. It seems even when I get the jump on people and land all my shots, a BR or DMR just will kill me because it’s just better at killing.
Erm no. I’ve seen people with carbines beat people I know who simply wrecked in H3 with Br’s. I’m talking about GB 4’s who used to be in the top 10 every season. The carbine is fine as is, leave it alone.
The Carbine is my weapon of choice. Been using since it was purchasable. 850+ kills with it.
If anything it is borderline overpowered. I regularly out shoot DMRs and BRs.

Am I doing it wrong? Any time I use a BR or DMR over it I feel like they’re way better. I get kills faster and I within the same magazine. How do I carbine bro.

Sounds like you are just bad at using it as, like many others, most of my games have been on Ragnarok. And I dominate with it.
I can say I’m pretty good with it have over 600 kills for the time I’ve used it, that being said the BR and dmr at waay easier to use, so it could use a tiny bit of murph to match how easy it is with those, what needs a buff more is the LR with its 2s kill time unzoomed(slowest in game as far as percision weapons)
It has a tough niche to fill, so that’s why it may seem weak. I prefer the other precision weapons to the carbine because it does seem very weak when pitted against the BR, DMR, and light rifle.

I will train myself to be able to bend its bullets so it actually has decent accuracy beyond close range.

Maybe if I train hard enough I will be able to snipe across the map with the Assault Rifle on full auto.
The carbine is fine at closish range, but the BR dominates it further out, and the BR can still match it at close range.
Yes, does need some more power… I dont think the gun should take a whole clip to kill someone… I used to love it in halo 3, but purchased it for load out and used one night… prob gonna be the last I use it… that is at least until the gun is improved or has like a tommygun clip lol
I bought the Carbine early on with high hopes, but I didn’t fair to well with it and felt it wasn’t powerful enough. After reading some of the responses here, maybe I need to give it another shot.
It is good when it comes to a grenade, then shoot with carbine. It is so atrocious at long range, you are playing extremely bad players thinking it beats the DMR LOL.
I need to check the carbine out. Been using the light rifle and dmr or course. Buy next time I get on I will def try it out.
Agreed. The Carbine needs a buff. Who gives a flying crap how fast you can shoot when your bullets are weak? That’s like the same as arguing that quantity trumps quality every time. Hell, even the BR can beat the Carbine. The DMR just straight up rips on it (Fact, Carbine players are easier to kill than if they were using BR/DMR). I am still testing the LR, which is why i haven’t mentioned it but from the time i spent playing with it, it’s performance isn’t as disappointing as the H4 Car.
If good players have good coordination and team work while using Carbine, it’s because they are team shooting with it. Not because the gun itself is any good. The gun is still very much weak and the same players would dominate regardless of the weapons used.
So yes, the Carbine needs to kill in less shots. I want to use and love this gun as much as the next guy but you have to be in denial to think the Carbine is a viable weapon against the other rifles.
