Budget cut, seasons stretched?

From a business perspective it makes no sense to keep going when it is uncertain whether updates will bring back and sustain players. The microtransaction revenue keeps going down to the point that it wont be profitable anymore. Sure they can eat into the profit they made between November and January, or they could keep that profit and walk away.

The whales cant carry this game. Someone in another thread said that there has only been around $1150 worth of cosmetics in the store so far. So there needs to be alot of whales who have spent that out of the small population this game has held

Lately theres been alot of repeats in the shop too. So there are weeks where a whale might only be able to spend $10 or less

except if they were hurting and needed to sell more stuff they wouldnt go with this bs approach of not mixing in past season store content and they wouldnt of gotten rid of dailies. They are more then fine and make plenty of bank.
So much in fact they are able to cut these 2 dailies and past season content cycling without a care

They are rolling in cash and revenue to think otherwise is absurd given everything

It’s not about whether or not it’s made a profit. It’s about whether or not they think that putting more resources into the game will bring a good return on that investment. No doubt the game did well for a couple months, but it crashed hard. Given the current player numbers, it’s completely reasonable to wonder if they are limiting future investment. If they are, then that explains the massive slowdown and inability to fix issues. We already know the campaign was downsized. Then they had to evaluate the roadmap earlier this year. The result of that evaluation was a 10 month season 2. I don’t see how that says “we are investing heavily in Infinites long term success”.

Who actually knows, but I would guess it’s more likely that they don’t have and can’t get enough staff.

Would love to see some kind of credible source for this claim. Also, you seem to not understand how the free to play model works. The game is free to lure players in, and the real money is made on microtransactions. Infinite probably has a fraction of the players currently than they originally projected, so naturally I’m sure their actual revenue from microtransactions is much less than originally predicted as well.
