Buddies Limit?

Is there a limit on how many friends you can have on Waypoint? I’ve been wondering this since I just hit another page of friends. I know theres limits on characters per post as well as signitures so I was curious if there was a limit on friends?

If anyone knows let me know!

I’m not really sure. It’s possible.

What’s the point of the Buddy List anyways? It doesn’t really do anything.

Depending on your settings, you might not be able to get PM’s from people NOT on it.

Hmm, now I gotta start adding people to it.

OT: I think like 100 people? Not sure though 343 sounds more likely.

I wish they would implement a block button for users so I can simply block them, the whole using the buddy system to stop unwanted PMs sucks

I agree, because the buddy system is nice and all, but there really needs to be a “Block member” option, because there is a small few people who I should block because of the way they act, or they get off on insulating me, for something I said. But there are times when I want to send a message to someone who isn’t on my buddies list, or incase someone wants to send me a message, they can.

agreed. I have never had issues with people PMing me, (other than one persone who wanted to know why I was defending the mods lol) but there are users who I wish I could block. I know when I started on Waypoint there were some less than friendly people.

Also the list is more than 100 people, I def have more than that.

I’m pretty sure there isn’t, since Kalamari sent a friend request to every member.

I did not know that. Good to hear, thanks for letting me know  I wish we had a larger inbox though… oh well, I guess I’ll have to wait until I hit Spartan.

I haven’t got any buddies yet

The 150 makes a bigger difference then 100 that’s for sure. I know what you mean about having more options and I hope to see these ideas about a block and Pm posts options more detailed acted on sooner then later. I wish there was a faster way to load the Inbox or may have it opened separately IMO so i can stay in the thread and discuss instead of having to back track kinda like the MSN option has when you click on your in-box. You can leave it open and still refresh it with no issues.

EDIT: i know most people will say right click and open a new window WRONG sometimes with Waypoint running slow it reads like a new browser is opened on waypoint making it even slower for some. I think with it updated and installed into the forums coding it should read it smoother.

This is just an idea…

If you want members that are active I only add the ones with over 500 posts. Keeps your list from getting cluttered and you get pretty active users that can engage with you in useful conversations.

Just a tip…

While I do agree with Ganon, I do add people under 500. I clean up my list every now and then and I can honestly say i know over 90% of the people on my list. I just clean up the members who aren’t active anymore/new guys who never stuck with Waypoint.

Use your own disgresion.

LOL! That must have taken a while…

I didn’t know there was an unlimited buddies list. I need to start adding buddies.
