Buck's Warzoe Voice

Why is Buck’s Warzone voice so PC? Rater than saying “feet first into hell” as the actuall quote goes, he says “feet first into a baaaad situation”. Why was his character changed for the Warzone voice into something much more lame?

He was forced to read a script written by Palmer. Otherwise he wouldn’t be able to get the job. I too would do anything to get away from Locke if he were to call me old man all the time.

Could be any number of reasons, but I think it’s just that the situation we’re jumping into doesn’t qualify for Buck’s interpretation of hell.

yeah. maybe, just maybe, it could be canon? WZ is just a simulation

True, ‘Feet first into hell’ should have been what he’d say; he still has that ODST mentality even as a Spartan IV and announcer, so why not? I could see him saying the ‘Bad situation’ line for Heroic Firefight and then ‘…into hell’ when you do Mythic XD

Because it would be a disservice to ODST’s and he knows it. These are Spartans running a simulation. They’re not dropping “Feet First into Hell”, are they? ODST’s drop Feet First into Hell into live combat in real situations. There’s a big difference.

I don’t think it’s a “PC” thing. Halo 5 isn’t free of the word “hell”. “Cortana’s our problem now, sir” … “like hell she is” smack… remember?
