This is an interesting topic for me. I haven’t seen episode 2 of the Sprint, but from what I’ve heard, Thorne was originally supposed to be part of Fireteam Osiris. However, they decided on instead of having Thorne, Buck is going to come back as a member of the team. Now, I’m so happy Buck is coming back and am not complaining at all. But I’m kinda surprised they won’t have Thorne as a member of the team, he was the main character in Spartan Ops. In that, I really came to care for his character and was thinking that he would play some major role in an upcoming game. Still, 100% thrilled to see Buck back, but still want to see Thorne have some presence in the game.
I think it was a good choice to go with Buck and keep Thorne as squad leader of Majestic. Could do a book, comic book, spin off game about them. I know they show up in a good amount in the current comic book but it been nice to see them get something of there own.
I would also like to see him and his team in halo 5 at some point.
Buck, Buck and Buck
I didn’t like Thorne, he seems to me a character without any charisma
He should have taken the third characters place, whether that’s Tanaka or Vale. (I’d say tanaka, she seems very bland)
Buck is 110% professional soldier, has a survival rating of 110% and is 110% Canadian! Thorne is something… Less. He’s honourable but he hasn’t survived nearly every major battle with the Covenant armada like Buck has. Thorne’s mind is open as it should but it’s not battle focused like it should be. Thorne can kill but he’s not a killer…
And ya know what else? I think Jun held the motto “I kill the enemy but I do not hate them.” because he was an Insurrectionist at heart, helped Mickey into and through the SIV program, and though Buck was definitely his first choice to be an SIV, he’s also Jun’s “moral insurance card” that Locke and his group are doing what they do for humanity and not for ONI. Which is what a Spartan is for (something Jun learned with Noble). When it comes down to it, Buck is on this mission to see the truth for himself, not because of orders or top brass beliefs.
I’d say Buck but I really like Thorne as well. I’d have like them both to be in the squad.

HEY! don’t be rascist now. JK
You really have to ask?! Buck all the way…
Buck. Hands down. Far more interesting character.
Buck. He’s so dreamy!
If only the rookie hadn’t died. He and Chief could’ve been good friends.
Jun!! lol
I’d say thorne then
PALMER lol jk never. I think buck was the better choice. I hope we see more of fireteam majestic in halo 5 along with Jun.
