^^That and well… uh…

There’s almost no one left from Alpha Nine.

So, what about a game on how he became a Spartan?

There’s a book that explains that. It’s called Halo: New Blood.

People have to Google what a book even is now a days  I am actually reading New Blood. It’s pretty good so far.

I find that no other author is really ever as good as Eric Nylund, when it concerns Halo novels.

I can’t say as New Blood is sadly the first book I am going to read. I have the hard cover of Halo Esclations, Halo Fractured and Halo Mythos as well just need to get around to reading them

I’m not the biggest fan of Nylund. His writing feels clunky to me.

He tried, failed, and got depressed enough to feel he doesnt diserve to lead a team. Hence he follows Locke, and even Cortana said he has much more experience and more capable than the others. He just chooses not to lead.

It kinda reminds me of the reverse of Fred and Chief. Technically speaking, Chief isn’t even the highest ranking Spartan, by a long shot. or even the strongest or fastest. But EVERY Spartan 2 follow his lead. Even Fred defaults to Chief despite outranking him.

Before New Blood, it was my hope that we’d see Team Castle (get it?) in Halo 5 Spartan Ops. Alpha Nine as spartans. Way more interesting than Team Majestic.

It could still happen, though it would be a stretch. Dutch would have to come out of retirement (I’m sure it happens), Mickey would have to own up and do some serious penance (a few years have passed since what he did, and given the Infinity’s situation they may just need him, assuming they didn’t already strip him of his super bones and stuff). All they’d really be missing, if we did see Alpha Nine return, would be the Rookie. And yeah, that means they’d be missing the powerhouse of the team, but meh. They’d manage.I won’t say I think 343 should make it happen. But I wouldn’t put up too much of a fight if they contorted events to make it happen.

Maybe 343I will kill Lock off in the first level of Halo 6 in a non playable cut scene…then Buck will take over temporary.

Wait, they more less did that already with a other character. How lame was that by the way, my god…

i would love to see that, but i will presume that it will never happen

He doesn’t want to. He said it in New Blood

This was one of the best written, if not the best, Halo novels. First strike kind of diminished my opinion of Nylund.

Which reminds me, where did Romeo go again? Mickey is arrested and Dutch starts a family, but Romeo is still a spartan.

Sure!!!

He led his own team -Yoinks!-, it’s called Alpha-9

I think a game about how Buck became a Spartan would be very interesting, Halo 5: ODST. Maybe it could show us what happens to his ODST team, we have it in the books, would be cool to see it in-game.

Dude. Spoilers. Cover that up or rewrite it to something different.

what about a game about the book !

This. To be honest, I like that he’s not a leader anymore; it gives his character more freedom to shine.
