Buck in Halo 5?

Please excuse me if I’m late to the party. However I just got wind of Halo: New Blood and how Buck becomes a SPARTAN IV.

(I haven’t read the book yet, however I can assume Buck becomes a SPARTAN IV rather than retire. Cause who wants to make a book about that?)

That said, no spoilers for Halo: New Blood please!

So does this mean that us HUGE fans of ODST and Nathan Gillian have a good chance of Buck returning as a SPARTAN IV in Halo 5?

Depends as to whether or not Nathan Fillion wants to return.

It does seem rather strange to suddenly drag his character out after a 5 year hiatus and then suddenly upgrade him if they weren’t going to do anything with him afterwards, though. Hell, in an alternate universe, I would have been much happier if Buck replaced Sarah Palmer as the leader of the Spartan-IVs, but like I said, it all depends on whether or not Nathan Fillion wants to return, but if he does, I would be all over that (as long as they dont just kill him).

It’s also possible that he is one of the spartans w/ Agent Locke (that was seen when Locke was talking to the Arbiter)
