Ive just recently bought back Halo 3 ODST, and once again taken quite a liking to the character Edward Buck, any chance that he will be in Halo 4?
anyone got any opinions or facts on the subject?
GOD YES. He could be chilling on the Infinity for sure, I think he would fit in well, maybe as an NPC or commanding officer in Spartan Ops.

Conclusion: Buck is a Spartan IV seing as how the spartan iv are marines and odsts being augmented… Heck that probably involves the rest of Bucks squad and Sgt. Stacker too.
If Buck is in the person who decided that will get a store full of cookies from me.
I highly doubt Buck would become a Spartan IV since they go through their “upgrades” when they are young and still growing.
In the books they tell you how normal marines cant use the Spartan suits because they over-calculate their movements and end up killing themselves.
But it would be badass to see Buck in the game somewhere.
Nope, the Spartan IV program is designed to use adults existing in the military.

Learn your facts. Spartan IV’s are augmented marines and ODSTs

Ahh, but these are spartan ivs. These are genetically augmented marines. It even said (Somewhere) that these are marines that have been augmented. So why not Bucks Squad and sgt Stacker?
PS: Those parts were for spartan IIs and IIIs. They did this same thing with Spartan Is… IE Stacker and Johnson.

I thought about this when Sparan VIs were first mentioned. He could be the “new” Sgt Johnson.

… Just so long as there is something like a johnson easter egg somwhere in the game, then im fine with him being the new johnson!

There’s a good chance that we’ll see Johnson in an intro cinematic showing the events that lead up to Halo 4.

Hopefully. Im looking forward to seeing 343is take on him, even if it is just a cinematic.

That would be awesome!
but wait, it might also be possible that after the Covenant War he went off to pursue a relationship with Dare. Or both, Spartan Buck would be amazing.

I think this is an entirely possible and quite awesome concept. If Buck took over the role of Sgt. Johnson I’d be all for it. Remember that Johnson was a Spartan I.
I’ve got a feeling most of the major characters from throughout the series will be making at least some cameo appearances somewhere. Remember how Frankie said once that all of the Halo novels and games have been leading up to this.
I hope not, buck just feels like a cheap replacement for Johnson.
