The game isn’t being made by 343. We still have yet to see anything actually done by 343 and won’t until Halo 4. I assume that the art design is by 343, but the actual graphics aren’t.

The graphics engine was written by Saber Interactive, yes, but 343 is overseeing the project. They didn’t just call Saber and say “Hey, make a Halo CE remake for us, and we’ll slap our name on it!”

Actually that’s pretty much what they did. They have already said that there are barely any people from 343 actually working on the project.
At first I really wanted this game, but after watching the BTS video I might actually go to the midnight release.

I’d go to the midnight release for every Halo game if I didn’t live in the middle of the prairie.
That video was very good, loved it.
I’m especially pleased how they brought over the Mona Lisa design for the Proto-Gravemind. Seeing multiple faces throbbing along the creature’s skin made me smile. The Flood, in general, look disgustingly good now. Those Carrier forms made me itch a little when the visuals transitioned.
The environments are absolutely beautiful. The ‘Halo’ plains reminded me of the central expanse, of Final Fantasy XIII’s Grand Pulse. The Library looks a lot more interesting now, and looks like it’ll retain the atmosphere of the original. Looking forward to playing Assault on the Control Room the most. The game’s gonna feel familiar, and yet also very fresh, with the changes they’ve applied. That’s its biggest accomplishment, imo.

i am so exited i pre ordered this back in september.
i watched that video and i was all like (oh how do i put this…) yyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaahhhhhh! i dont have a kinect but i am so buying one now.
and by the way to everyone whos mad at 343 for the kinect thing all i have to say is.
back 5 days ago you where all exited that this game was coming out and now that you know there is one feature that you cant use you are mad. but your still getting all the features you knew about 5 days ago and if you want it so bad then get a kinect.

I’m not paying any amount of money, especially that much, for something that everyone should have access to. It’s the same reason I don’t buy on disk DLC.
I’m surprised, that 343i showed already a lot of the campaign. I’m not really mad, but now I nearly saw every level in Anniversary mode and I planned to see them in my playthrough first. Otherwise the stuff is looking hot. I especially love the new cutscene animation. They look hot. It isn’t a month till release. Let’s count down the days! (no not really)
