Btb searches are unbelievably terrible.

Been sitting here for 10 minutes trying to find literally 1 player in a social btb. This is so stupid. You can’t back out and search for a new game you are just stuck there for 5 minutes until it drops you saying unable to join game anyways. Why is this so terrible? People quick 1 minute into the game anyways so just start it at 14 players even if the teams aren’t balanced.

Halo 5’s player base is slowly dwindling. Stuff like this happens.
Alternatively, you could try skimming LFG posts to find a premade, or just pick a playlist that’s more popular.

It’s not player count it’s the whole system. With join in progress a thing why not just start when there are 15 players? It’s stuoid. What’s really dumb is the whole not letting you back out. Cause clearly that’s not helping cause people just dashboard anyways.

Tried quickplay and it’s the worst haha. After 15 minutes it no games I’ve given up hope on this halo nonsense.

No games on quickplay? It might be your connection. I can find games in most playlists without a problem.

The “you can’t back out” part of all of this is so infuriating. I want to back out and play Super Fiesta, get me out of Slayer!

The only solution to it is dashboarding, and that’s also tedious. However, I can’t relate to the issue of search times.

Connections great. 75 down 12 up. Open nat. No issues with any other games. Just Halo 5.

You’re probably experiencing a glitch and not really the game being unable to find someone. It’s been a known issue for several months and likely related to someone’s game freezing in the postgame lobby.

What I’ve noticed if it’s the glitch, is that it could take up to several minutes to find someone or not get a game at all, but if it’s someone just quitting the lobby and creating an empty slot, the slot will be filled relatively quickly. That’s just my guess on what I think the difference is.
