Yes, because if everyone is fairly balanced off spawn they can work together to get out of bad situations
Yes, I hate vehicles. A lot. Like, that’s my whole schtick. Just looks up my brute shot montages if you’re curious.
Why can’t you work together if everyone is carrying different weapons? Players won’t suddenly start coordinating when you give all of them BRs, they’ll still go wherever they want to go and shoot whatever they want to shoot. It’s BTB, you’re gonna get chaos, that’s what you sign up for when you queue.
Okay, sorry but that’s a very silly schtick. Why do you hate vehicles? They’re so much fun to drive around in and get kills with with your mate on the guns. Additionally, if you hate vehicles, why play BTB? Vehicles have been a staple of the mode since like forever, you just want to take them out?
It seems to me like you’re of the impression that a 100% always fair perfectly balanced game makes for a fun experience, it doesn’t. It becomes a shallow and mundane experience VERY quickly. The variety in weapons and tools in Halo is what makes it so much fun, if you remove those aspects, you remove a very large portion of the fun.
You can’t coordinate or work together with AR’s and Sidekicks, that’s the point. At very close ranges you can sometimes, but That’s it, and only if the people you’re fighting also have just AR’s and Sidekicks.
Vehicles are a crutch players who are bad at gun fighting use to pad their KD’s.
I play btb because I go plus 20 or more every match. I play btb because every time I destroy a vehicle I force someone who can’t aim to lose their crutch. The only reason to use vehicles imo is in a fair match with two full teams and you want to use all the resources you have available at your disposal.
Oh boy, here we go.
You absolutely can, in more ways than with the BR even.
What a short-sighted and pessimistic point of view you have. You forget that not all players are hell-bent on winning, or care about proving themselves. They play because playing the game is fun. When I get into a warthog I generally do so because I have fun driving it around, it’s that simple. You really think everyone cares about their K/D?
Yes, I think I have you figured out. The majority of your enjoyment comes from beating your opponents, from proving you’re better, from winning. You don’t like vehicles because suddenly your skill isn’t that big of a factor anymore, and you stand to lose a fight to someone you’re convinced is less skillful than you.
It’s clear to me that you take the competition very seriously. You should know that by far the largest part of the player base does not share your disposition, they play for fun. Halo Infinite currently is primarily tailored to be fun to play, of course it is, that’s how the largest amount of player will get the most out of the game.
The game can never be what you want it to be.
Assault rifle starts take no skill. Plus its boring and not fun at all.
I mean play the game and get your enjoyment how you want but for someone who calls the AR unfun and toxic and then goes on to ridicule players for vehicle usage, with them and the game not conforming to your ideal version of what it should be to become your version of fun…that’s not exactly a flattering mindset either.
“They like ARs cause they’re bad.”
“They use vehicles cause they’re bad.”
“If they can’t start with BRs then they can’t play the game.”
Its a vidya game, my dude.
How do you propose anyone coordinate with AR’s in BTB in ways they cannot with BR’s instead?
And yes, winning is fun. Losing is not fun. Killing lots of enemies is fun. Dying lots of times is not.
I mean if the goal of people who go into matchmaking is to lose on purpose, those people are called griefers who are sabotaging everyone else’s experience. Do you splatter teammates in those vehicles as well, is that what you find fun?
What possible other explanation could there be for any of those quotes you made up?
If we had BR starts in BTB, I wouldn’t be playing BTB. AR and pistol are a good start combo, but also adjusts your initial play to get better weapons, rather then just jumping into the fray
And with that response, its clear to me that I should no longer give you the time of day.
Truth! Sidekick is trash and inconsistent. Dont wanna run around the entire game with an AR either.
Rather than BR starts I think they should just fix the aiming in this game and give the sidekick a bit less randomness too.
The biggest issue with the game’s sandbox currently is that the aiming system is fundamentally flawed when compared to past Halos.
One goes AR one goes Sidekick.
You don’t get it, and at this point I’m starting to think you never will, so I will stop.
the map is full of pick-up weapons for you to grab. this is halo, not cod
What do you mean by one goes AR one goes Sidekick
I kind of agree with you, i dont think people should just have access to weapons right at spawn. I still think the BR is just too powerful to spawn with but i am not opposed at all to getting rid of weapons in the spawning bases as it does allow for people to just sit and wait for weapons they didn’t earn.
I think the AR has a short enough effective range that it allows for more map movement and brings the average engagement distance down which is what i find more fun and allows for more map weapons to be useful thus making Infinite’s AR the perfect starting weapon.
I turn on that Overtime setting in all of my maps. So just encase there is a tie I set the overtime setting to 3 mins. max!
Peace!

ar on big maps creates less engagements = boring matches. thats why launch site and behemoth feel like its a snails pace. AR starts work on the smaller arena maps and btb with 24 players.
Launch Site and Behemoth just need larger player counts, even with BR starts they are too big. Well Launch Site is too big while Behemoth is too big and too open, BR starts are just a pain on that map.
