I would love to see a future season with BTB Ranked. It doesn’t have to be an ongoing thing. Just one month. Heck even 2 weeks.

They just enabled 12-player WZ and WZA, so Warlords is now redundant.

Ok so I am guess BTB ranked is my only request.
If you’re not running with a squad, ranked BTB would be suffering.

95% I run with a squad so I know what you mean but the dust would settle. All of the 8 man preforms would get into the Diamond to Champion ranks and the solo artists would get lesser competition in the Gold/Plat range so the experience overall should improve for everyone after 20 games of it or so.
If I remember correctly, BTB was ranked when it was first added to Halo 5. I’m pretty sure it went horribly, thus the change to unranked.

I’m not concerned about the competition. I’m more concerned about the rampant quitting among solo players, which is what would make BTB suffering. Especially since you don’t get back-filling of empty spots in a ranked environment. Can’t trust a random player to stick a game out to the bitter end.

I heard it was pulling population from WZ and WZ was the baby so they tried to put more people in WZ by dropping BTB to social. Heavy BTB means limited to no REQ revenue…WZ = much higher potential revenue. I think it was more of a business decision than anything else. But both have been out so long it shouldn’t really affect business at this point. Especially if it was only available for 2 weeks to 1 month.

He is simply the one that messages people. It is kind of his thing. We all bag but he takes it to the next level. It is funny to us when he mentions it in game but the messages read much tougher than they are potentially intended. Probably why he has an “avoid me rep”. We all love the dude though. One of the funniest people I know.
We have faced your team a lot lately and we enjoy it because you guys can hang.

If 343 wants to make microtransaction money, they need to find some way to do it that doesn’t involve incentivizing them to ditch one of Halo’s most popular multiplayer modes (i.e. BTB Heavies). Warzone, with its lack of equal starts and snowball effect, is not a good replacement.
Anyway, I wouldn’t mind if they add BTB to ranked. But what they really need to do is add more vehicles to it…

Oh, okay. I don’t really care about bagging, but I thought the random messages were odd. I don’t have a team so whenever I play your party it’s either solo players or a smaller party. That’s why I dashboard in the lobby a lot because 90% of my games are matching parties and the majority of the time it’s on the side that gets stomped, so I’d rather deal with solo teams.

More vehicles?? There are times one of our team members has to get out of his vehicle to plant a bomb on assault because no one else wants to exit theirs?
Viking = Wraith (1 to 2 players), Gauss Hog (2 to 3 players), Ghost 1 player, Banshee 1 player, a mongoose…Each side has this. If you jack a vehicle from the opponent you have an objective foot soldier resource issue. Or do you mean more unique vehicles like from past games?

Yeah, Viking is probably one of the most vehicle-friendly BTB maps in Halo 5, because it’s a remake of an older map. I also like Viking because it’s got a decent amount of open space, which I loved on maps such as Hemorrhage and Delta Facility. Wraith+hog+ghost+banshee+mongoose is the perfect amount of vehicles for each side to have on a BTB map, in my opinion. But it is just that: my opinion. You don’t have to agree, I just miss the good old days of Graveyard and Cragmire
I don’t see a need for a ranked BTB. What they really need to do is add in all the previous awesome game types we no longer have like dominion, regicide, heavies, head hunter etc…

I’d like it if it had more or better vehicle counters. When there are uneven teams and with how the spawns are, you basically only get a plasma pistol and maybe a plasma caster if you can make it to where it spawns when you’re on the bad team. If you make it to your base, you get a sniper which is on tier 3 spawning and a rocket pod which is situational and hard to be effective. Good luck getting the laser or your vehicles before they’re jacked or blown up.

I heard it was because there weren’t enough people in similar rank tiers for proper matchmaking. Worst case I’ve seen was that there were a couple people who had their MMR high enough that they couldn’t find matches at all.

Yeah, that was also happening. I think it would be different now though since that was during the beginning of H5’s life and now the matchmaking has been updated.

Yes, ranked BTB in H5 was not good. The problem with ranking BTB is that there are too many players since ranking is based off win/loss. It only takes one teammate to throw a match and then the other 7 get dragged down for it. Works the opposite way with carrying too.
