Seeing how Breakout was ranked, could BTB be ranked again? I bring this topic up because I don’t know how many of you know about hidden skill ranks, but they are still definitely affecting how some people are getting matched. The reason I find this problematic is because most onyx/champs are usually in pre-made lobbies that can just steam roll a lobby full of randoms that are diamond- onyx level. The people that run solo in BTB and are higher ranks in other playlists can vouch that the hidden skill rank effects the way they get matched in BTB. I feel as though if I’m gonna go against a pre-made lobby of 8, at least I would want other players on my team to be at least around my skill level; I don’t know if that makes any sense to you guys, but I think BTB should have a social BTB mode for social players and a ranked BTB mode for teams of 8 to match other teams of 8. What do you all think about this and how have you guy’s experience running solo or with a partner or two in BTB have been, do you guys think that making BTB ranked or having a ranked BTB playlist would be beneficial?

Higher population, more fun/silly Gametypes like heavy slayer (historically- h5 has the same Gametypes unfortunately), can goof off without worrying about rank, less sweaty people shouting callouts & complaining about my performance, makes for a fun “adult night” aka online drinking party, JIP is a godsend in a 16 player Match, and I don’t care about ranks so ranked playlists have no appeal to me.
I would like BTB ranked, but I think it’d hurt the population a lot. In a perfect world, there would be BTB ranked/social, but I know that won’t happen. So I’d leave it unranked. Don’t worry eventually, 343I will realize that Breakout is pretty much a total failure and they won’t be using it again especially for Halo 6. Maybe then they will give BTB more love in every area because God knows it didn’t get any in Halo 5.

But what if BTB had a population to sustain both, right now BTB is the 2nd most populated playlist behind warzone. Also I’m not one to wait more years for them to get it right, when they can start right now on improving the playlist. I need my BTB fix NOW!!!

But what if BTB has a high enough population for two playlists to exist Social BTB and ranked BTB. Social BTB would be the same, JIP would still be there along with BR starts.Then Ranked BTB would be pistol starts, no JIP. What do you think?

And a lot of people hated it because they didn’t want to worry about loosing rank for loosing a game.
And at this point Im not sure the multiplayer can handle ANOTHER super competitive game type…
No, it was already ranked when it first came out and it was a disaster.

But it still is, there’s a hidden rank to the current BTB playlist. I’m not asking for just one BTB playlist I’m asking for a social BTB playlist and a Ranked counterpart.
For big playlist Warzone = Social
BTB = Ranked
There is something for both audiences that love playing the bigger gametypes.

Except Warzone and BTB are two different experiences and not everyone likes Warzone. At all.
BTB ranked will be a disaster. Already i only play BTB with a party otherwise i dont bother with the game mode. Without including the hidden rank its alr a game mode where players will leave when the game gets tough

Well for starters, where are you getting this information from that BTB has the 2nd highest??? Love to know

I just don’t think it’s a realistic option. I feel way more people play BTB now then before when it was ranked. Again, let me reintegrate that I would love for it to be ranked butt I just don’t see it happening. I love my ranked play but even almitt it’s nice to just go in and play and not worry about rank sometimes . I wish there was a social 4-4 like Halo 3 had. Halo got ranked social playlists right I feel… Remember, people want more social playlists, not less. You can get your fix right now, go play it

I can’t remember which update list it was from, but I remember 343 or someone post statistics about the most populated to the least populated playlist, hopefully someone in this thread remembers or has the statistics themselves and can post it to you. Also I never stated that I wanted to get rid of social BTB, in fact we need more social playlists and playlists in general, gametypes and updates overall. Also Halo 3 had a social version of BTB and a ranked version of BTB a.k.a Squad Battle, that’s all I’m trying to bring up.
It should rather stay social,make the expirience better.
I think it should remain a social playlist, i dont know why but i prefer it like that.
