BTB question

I’ve stopped playing Halo 4 because of how horrendous Vehicular combat is, and considering that BTB is the only major playlist that supports vehicle play, and also considering that i am a die hard vehicle fan, i essentially have no reason to play Halo 4.

The while i have played BTB in Halo 4, 9 times out of 10, the chosen gametype is Infinity slayer, and since that gametype has custom loadouts, and therefore almost everyone spawns with Plasma Grenades and Pistols, this means that vheicles have little to no power.

I stopped following the Halo 4 Matchmaking updates as nothing has really caught my eye, the majority of updates are for other playlists, and the few updates there are BTB, they typically add some new extra, non-vehicle related gametype, so i stopped paying attention, but i may have missed out on some crucial Information, so im just wondering if there was any kind of update to Infinity slayer, or any extra gametypes that disallow custom loadouts, i’m itching for vehicle combat, but Halo 3 is underpopulated, and Reach is just as broken when if comes to Vehicles.

TL;DR, My question is, are there any gametypes in Halo 4’s BTB that do not allow Custom loadouts, besides “Big Team slayer”? and if so, are they chosen more frequently than Infinity Slayer?

I think the answer is “no”. Not quite sure though.

Well, that’s not entirely true. There’s also Team Snipers…but that doesn’t have any vehicles in it. :stuck_out_tongue:

You’re out of luck if you’re looking for something other than Big Team Slayer.

However, a playlist titled ‘Heavies’ was out there for a couple weeks not too long ago, and it consisted of overpowered vehicles dropping in every minute or two. Sure, custom loadouts still applied, but with all the high amount of nonstop vehicular warfare, it’s hard to care. It was so popular that 343 is discussing the possiblity of bringing it back permanently. It’s also in the current Squad DLC playlist if you have any of it. You may or may not have heard of that, but I’m just making sure.

Also, Capture the Flag has some nice vehicles in it, and although this may be considered kill-farming, people don’t focus on you that much in objective gameplay. However, jumping into a Mantis is pretty much like painting a giant target on your back. :T

So, in short, the answer is ‘no’, like they said, but there’s a another vehicular playlist out there yet…
