BTB power weapon betrayers

So yeah, people are already committing murder against their own team mates to get those power weapons. Not had this in any other playlist yet. Happened twice in the space of an hour. Good times ahead…

Shoot them but don’t kill them until they become annoyed and kill you. Then boot them for betraying

Yeah but that doesn’t really solve the problem. It’s happening constantly. I think betrays should be an instant boot the way this is going. Let the player choose if it was a genuine betrayal and kick them if it was. That way it will stop those power weapon hogs who think only they have the right to use them

And then you have the people who, for the lulz, will purposefully get betrayed just so they can kick another player

Instant betray-boot? Uhh, no. Just because you ran in front of my warthog that was flying through the air doesn’t mean I deserve to be booted. I personally haven’t seen betrayals for weapons happen yet. And you should block and report them on Xbox after the game if you hate it so much. And that’s what happens when you play in a casual playlist. Welcome to Halo. You clearly haven’t been here long.

Clearly haven’t been here long? Well my arrogant friend, like many others, I have indeed been ‘here’ from the beginning. From CE to H5 I’ve played the multiplayer through and through so don’t make assumptions on a whim…

Anyway, as I previously posted and clearly said, you always get the option to boot or forgive the player for a betrayal. Only a pure loser would boot someone for an honest mistake. Your warthog example is a prime chance of this happening. If you walk in front of a moving vehicle and get killed, then that’s your fault and you should say, “no, that was an accident”. However, just because you haven’t seen any betrayals for weapons, doesn’t mean it isn’t an issue others have. And with regards to it being a casual playlist, that would be fine, however it is also currently a ranked playlist as there are no social options to us at the moment.

I’ve been betrayed a handful of times for power weapons so far and it’s a pain, yeah you can block and report people but really, what does it do to aid the solution. Nothing. Enforcing the option to instantly decide whether a boot is necessary would remove these people from the game and encourage people to actually play properly.

Some guy on my team punched me in the face in my first game of BTB because…no idea. He got bad feedback.

eh people are just going to be -Yoinks!-. because that’s what people do.

I end up betraying people accidentally with my sniper. I line up my shot and at the moment I fire, my teammate gets in the way. This happened twice. The first time was in Shotty Snipers, where I got a double noscope. Found nobody betraying for power weapons, though.

Betraying for weapons is as organic to Halo as Teabagging.

Insta boot? No way. Stuck someone with the Plasma Caster yesterday and my teammate decides he needs a melee kill on a guy that’s already stuck, so I get a betrayal. There’s no reason I should be able to get booted for that.

Even if you had an Insta boot, it wouldn’t stop people from shooting your shield down without killing you. That is much more annoying than getting betrayed once.

This isn’t anything new to Halo.

Move along, move along…

I’ve been betrayed for the Sniper in Team Arena. Really, the Sniper? What are you in FaZe or something?

this is what happens when “hardcore ranked competitive” playlists are the norm

343 really dropped the ball for the REAL players

give us social/fun gametypes not sweaty lobbies

I’ve already seen players throwing themselves in front of friendly tanks in hopes of being able to boot the driver out of the game. It’s just plain stupid.

We all know that when someone runs in front of your vehicle and you can’t stop in time, they will boot you anyway. Genuine betrayal or not, most people just boot when the option comes up.

It’s worse when people do it in Breakout. Played a match on Crossfire, and the only rounds we win are the ones where I get the BR and am able to support/cover my team. Some -Yoink!- decides now he wants the BR and grabs it, then rushes into the center of the map. He dies. We lose every round he does this in. Finally, we’ve got one more round left before we’re eliminated, and I’m able to get the BR, so I’m thinking great, maybe now we can make a comeback. Nope. He punches me in the back, steals my BR, runs off and dies… We lose, game over.

BTB is one thing, but betrayals should not be tolerated at all in one-life game modes.
