Would holding trial BTB pistol starts for two weeks be enough time to show if magnums work on BTB maps? What do y’all think.

I wouldn’t say they’re too big, as you can traverse them incredibly fast. I think it’s possible that it would cut down on people ‘sniping’ from across the map early on, forcing other players to be afraid to move and hiding the entire match. While I see why this ‘pistol starts’ argument is around, I don’t think it will be overwhelmingly beneficial. I personally still prefer BR starts.

I don’t mind pistol starts, but the game really gets good (in my eyes) when you’re able to use a BR.
I agree that we should get a trial playlist to see how it works out.
There would be rioting in 343i digital streets. For every (sensible) person that wants magnum starts, I bet there’s 10 that prefer brs.

Fair Enough, but are what if pistol starts made BTB play way better than it currently is, what I’m asking isn’t an immediate change to the playlist, but a feedback system so that 343 would have the best information on what maps work better with magnums and what maps work better with br’s. If magnums is something that completely fails, then so be it. Then that ends the discussion on BTB br or pistol starts.

What if there was an abundant amount of weapons on the map that you could pick up like the dmr, carbine, light rifle and Br’s on the map with of course other weapons. Now I would like to ask you, would you possibly be open to the idea of playing a trial BTB playlist with magnums as the starting weapon?

Having a BR on BTB would give you a huge advantage against magnums

But would you be willing to play the trial playlist and give it a try?
Let me start off by saying i haven’t played much BTB but i really enjoy it. I do agree that having a BR is an advantage against the pistol but I’d be willing to give the trial period a go. Either way with a BR or a pistol im happy. The way i see it is that most games have a pistol start off so they tried something different.

Having more variety in BTB would be a benefit to the playlist, thanks for the feedback

So, would you mind BTB having pistol starts for maybe a week or two too see if you’d prefer it over the BR or it could prove the opposite.

Well almost all of the maps were designed for AR/Magnum starts so it shouldn’t be a problem…
I would love if they actually change it to ar/magnum since I’m sick of crossmapping matches in BTB, never understood what fascinated people on the BR anyway
Please do a trail, it would be a great idea. Even if it didnt replace BTB they could set up a secondary mode with the magnums. To see what direction the game should take.

Oh yeah definitely man, i agree 100%. Im fairly new to BTB so i cant say all that much. But variety is always a good thing.

A trial would be good.
I think a trial playlist would be good. Psitol starts would be good for BTB imo. It would increase the amount of map movement rather than people camping with BR’s as often happens now.
I’ve always liked it how you spawn with a BR, I don’t think pistols would be as fun, and would make the large maps more close quarters which is pointless.
