BTB Overal Feedback

Some Constructive Advice from my 20~ Hours in BTB.

TECHNICAL

As an Australian player, Australian servers were seemingly not existant? Playing on nothing but 200+ ping all flight was not very enjoyable, if there isnt Australian servers this is going to be a collossal dissapointment.
JEFF STEITZER Needs to be in BTB for just the Medals at the very least, he isnt in BTB at all rn.
Exclusive Fullscreen NEEDS to be in the game for this to be remotely succesful on PC.

WEAPONS/EQUIPMENT

Aim assist on precision weapons Commando/BR is way too strong its borderline impossible to not get a perfect on a close/midrange opponent.
The plasma pistol not EMPing vehichles is a great change it was always far too strong due to how easily obtainable and spammable it has always been although it needs a slight damage buff against player shields.
Shock Rifle is fine as is but the spawntime on it needs to be increased in BTB. It is a big nerf to power vehichles for it is practically hitscan.
Fusion Coils are sick but didn’t respawn at all during the match. PLEASE LET US CATCH THEM OUT OF THE AIR, this would be amazing for clips/custom games, Be sure to make it difficult tho.
Radar Range needs to be increased a little in BTB.
If it hasnt been said enough Grenades/Gravity Hammer need their physics to apply to the person using them (Grav/Nade jump).
Overshield needs to degrade much slower.
Sight Glint needs to be toned down, it instantly giving away your snipe to anyone remotely on screen sucks (Maybe make it take a few seconds after ADSing for your glint to appear).
Drop Wall deployment time is better but it still feels really weak definetely needs to have its hp buffed and maybe make it one row of squares taller/wider?
No scoping with the sniper is still broken the first shot needs to have 100% accuracy it currently shoots outside of the reticle while there is no bloom and the bloom should reduce ever so slightly faster.

VEHICHLES

Vehichles need to take slightly less damage from small arms fire and significantly more damage from explosions, grenades and rockets seem to barely damage vehichles at all
for example there has been multiple occasions that I have hit a warthog with 2+ rockets and it seemingly did nothing, same with hitting a mongoose with a rocket and only knocking a wheel off.
Pelican Drops are awesome but have some huge negatives, Vehichles not being dropped off at the same time for each team sucks (if this is intended and not a bug).
Barely ever getting to play with the vehichles we all play BTB for is lame for example in approx 20 games I only ever saw 1 Scorpion and only 1 team got to have one not to mention 1/24 people got to have one.
Recommended Fix: Add standard spawns for Ghosts and reserve the pelican drops for Rocket/Gauss Hogs, Tanks and Air Vehichles only and have a pelican drop at the start of the game aswell as make them slightly more frequent.
Although even this solution removes the interplay between scorpions and banshees due to them never being spawned at the same time.
(Make sure both pelicans drop the same vehichle for each team at the same time).
Cant say much about the Tank I never got to drive it but please let us sit on the tracks.
Vehichle control and physics feel good but UNSC vehichles seem to be really difficult to get a splatter with, seemingly just bouncing off of players only breaking shields.
Passengers should be able to use equipment.
The Cinematic Cam on spectating someone on a vehichle is great.

MAP/GAMEMODE

Total Control is fun and kinda just strongholds but better.
Map Design is great although maybe a couple overly strict out of bounds areas.
Weapon abundance is awesome, pretty much always being able to grab something that isnt AR/Sidekick off of spawn is great.
Ordinance drops are cool but need to have some kind of more pronounced indication on where they are landing they where kinda hard to find (Maybe give them the same indicator Pelican Drops have?)

I’m not a huge fan of BTB Strongholds, despite loving 4v4 Strongholds so I am thrilled with Team Control.

I think it is really fun to play.

My main take away from BTB was that the game would definitely benefit from having both casual and ranked playlists for it. As it was in the flight would be great for competitive play. No team ever has overwhelming firepower by running two tanks, a wasp, a banshee and all the power weapons. Overall it felt very balanced and fair.

Thing is though, a lot of the time, that’s not what I want from BTB. I want sheer chaotic fun that’s just absolute mayhem. I want matches where I feel the odds are insurmountable and all of a sudden a teammate hijacks a banshee or takes out a tank with a rocket launcher and my team has this rallying moment where we turn it all around. I think having a casual playlist where all the vehicles and power weapons are just on the map from the get-go would be amazing. Games like that aren’t even about winning or losing to me, it’s about the overall experience and seeing these awe inspiring plays that are only possible in a sandbox game like Halo where all the elements are interacting together.
