BTB comes out this week. YAY! I’m super hyped. However, I’m afraid my hype might not last. I’m a little bit bored of this game. Ok a lot bored. If BTB isn’t a ton of fun, I don ;t see how this game will last. The gameplay is fun, I really like it. I just don’t think it will survive. Thoughts?
After this “coming soon this week” update, 343 needs to have all hands on deck working together to push out many of the staple playlists and game-modes, using the sub-par maps that are currently in the game. Meanwhile, they ought to have a nice chunk of money sent over to Certain Affinity so Hoberman and his crew are paid handsomely for saving this game from the abysmal maps that it has shipped with.
Their focus on pushing out more and more ugly armor, weapon skins, and different looking vehicles is completely asinine. Nothing against any of those things if the game offers a deep experience that’s more than likely to retain its current audience, however that’s not the case right now.
I don’t understand why the actual release date is such a secret.
BTB is something that should have been in from the start. While warzone is fun, but it gets repetitive fast, the wonky balancing/exploits are not fun and the fact you can get steamrolled so early in the match is not fun.
At the moment, I’m burned out on warzone (the spark on interest is gone) because of how unbalanced it is. Having BTB would give me something else to play that isn’t the ultra competitive Arena but not the hectic randomness of warzone.

The fact that BTB is ranked kind of killed the hype for me. I just want some unranked playlists

And this sums up my thoughts completely. Warzone is too random. There are way to many blowout matches, and the way the mode is set up encourages steamrolling

My point exactly. BTB will be fun, but only for a little bit. Then it will become a super competitive team game. I just want to relax and have fun. Warzone is boring.

They don’t want a salty (ier) forum, so better they give you a general window than a fixed time (also so you dont get DDOSers making it even worse).

Don’t get me wrong, there have been matches where my team and the opposing team have been pretty dead even in score at the end but I can only think of 5 matches like that (as in the score at the end is ten or less, even had one where we won 1000 to 999, I kid you not) but a majority of matches have anywhere between 500 and 800 in point difference. That is what I would like to change, games like that.

No matter how well done and fun the maps are they are going to be ugly as -Yoink-. Hype will be killed when players get tired of flat grey walls everywhere.

Yeah, it’ll be fun at first then the MLG “pro” players and their clans will arrive and just kill the fun
If BTB isn’t great, then I drop the game until the forge update, will screw around and build maps and see what kind of fun can be had with it, but the game is going to need some significant changes in order to keep me playing, grinding the same bland maps over and over hoping to be blessed by the RNG gods isn’t my idea of fun
