…it’s really stupid. The team that spawns beside the Gauss Hog wins as they just sit in the left corner of their base moving slightly. You can’t get close enough to it to kill it, lasers give away your position so they get you then as well (also they have cover) Seriously, who’s brilliant idea was it to put the Gauss Hog there AND only give it to one team? Needs to be replaced with the Rocket Hog IMO…
Other than that though, the maps good. Except that that happens every BTB game. Every. Single. One.
Oh come on! There’s a tank on that map! Sure its unbalanced, but control of the tank is often what decides the game, so the Gauss Hog is often rendered moot.
Coincidentally the Red team (which spawns opposite of the Gauss) has an advantage when it comes to getting to the Scorpion…

I agree it’s in a very bad location. But I’d rather they move it to the middle, underneath the banshee or near there, rather than change it for a rocket hog. Gauss hog is awesome sauce.
One team gets scorpion and one team gets hog and guass hog… thats fairly balanced, plus the map is so small it takes a skilled player to not get PP and noobed in the scorpion anyway.
The tank can be gotten by gauss team first, but its mostly fair as long as both teams are organized.
The blue team gets to the scorpion just after the red team gets there, and from most games I’ve played, then proceed to stick/EMP it to death. Then the gauss hog reins supreme once again.
I don’t agree at all. Love that map.
BTB on Exile…sucks…let me explain.
-
Laser constantly shows up on the ord drops.
-
the scorpion
&
- the banshee.
I managed to survive with a postive k/d but its a pain in the rear when the scorpion or banshee pass by.

Those are the exact reasons why I love that map. If you aren’t organized, or don’t pay attention to your surroundings then you get blasted.
Some of my best games have been when both teams know how to utilize the vehicles well, and how to neutralize them.
The only games I’ve lost on that map are games where my team didn’t push power vehicle spawns and just rushed out, leaving control of the Gauss, Banshee, and Scorpion to the opposition. There are counters in place to take out all 3 vehicles that most people overlook.
Gauss can immobilize banshee right off spawn.
Red has a sniper to protect teammates rushing Scorpion, Blue has a rocket launcher at the foot of the bridge and the caves to push the Scorpion spawn to either clear the way for vehicle control or to immobilize it.
The Gauss can immobilize the Scorpion with proper use of cover and movement.
Scorpion can immobilize all of the hogs and the banshee in the proper hands.
Infantry should be providing support to keep whichever vehicles their team controls alive for as long as possible and to clean up any incomplete kills so their vehicle can safely move to the next target.
It all comes down to how organized your team is in prioritizing THE WIN over personal performance, and on Exile vehicle control is the best way to do that.
I guess the main problem that I’m having is that idiots who don’t use the motion tracker always get the scorpion, then promptly get blaster from behind by the Gauss Hog without even turning around.
