For some they enjoy a relaxing CASUAL gametype such as Big Team Battle. Thus 343 has made it a ranking/competitive playlist in Halo 5. I got one dislike the option they decided to go on this and why it has always been a casual gamemode for people to sit back, drink a beer and have fun with friends without the need to act competitive which is why they created modes like those in previous Halo’s (referring to Bungie’s Halos). To balance out between the two worlds of the Halo Community.
Big Team Battle has issues, from enemies spawning right next to you without the addition of safe zones, to spawning right in the sight of the enemy fire and among that, I thought BtB would have had slightly larger maps which they aren’t. Though the maps are ok as far as design but the community as itself could do better. Why they chose these people to do these maps is beyond me but I give them a below par score.
Also according to some people, because of this update it has caused issues elsewhere within the game from campaign losing saved progress to some others. With a 6.2Gb update, what did 343 do exactly?
This game wasn’t made for casuals, or drinking beer with friends. The whole absence of split screen is enough to prove it.
However considering what was actually in the patch I think 6.2 gigs is a -Yoink- load. Plus the new reqs aren’t even there in the game yet. Its as if this still hasn’t even been released yet.

Which in every case was a bad move on 343 for focusing on nothin more than competitive. There should be balance of both which is why it’s 9th on the most played game. You shouldn’t focus on one aspect and expect the other half to follow.
I wouldn’t really care about the ranking. Although it does affect who you play with… If thats the case, then BTB shouldn’t be ranked or have a social playlist. But having two separate would require more servers perhaps?

Never stopped Bungie and Microsoft as a crap load of money so why should it stop 343.

343i needs to take into account the people that haven’t been playing halo for the past 15 years and are brand new to the game. It is the era of the self-entitled casual after-all.
