If this question has already been answered, I apologize. The update post said that BTB is moving to a social playlist, so is it being removed from Ranked Arena? If so, why the change?
because halo 5 will die without social playlists
making BTB social is a good thing
Well there goes my reason to play Halo 5.
I dont mind it. Last Night in BTB I played a team of all gold and 6 of the randoms on my teams were doing their placement matches. We got crushed. Let it be social.
isn’t BTB always been a social playlist? I have never been a BTB player anyway so I am just asking?
I took it as there is a separate playlist for social and ranked. So you’ll have ranked BTB and social BTB.

BTB was ranked in Halo 2
BTB was always social, for some reason they threw it in ranked and now they’re removing it and putting it in social where it belongs. There are no separate versions.

I took it the same way but apparently thats not true. Theyre just making BTB social. I’m kind of bummed about it because BTB is my favorite playlist, but team arena will be my new favorite.

Gold is a bunch of pretty bad players
They can remove CTF and Strongholds too… Without ranks is garbage.
BTB has no place in ranked play anyway. It’s meant to be fun.

I just moved up to Plat. Matches are much more difficult now… as in, I no longer go 26-8. More like 14-11.

Although I love Ranked BtB I understand this. It will still be played a lot by me but I do enjoy teaming up and ranking up. Even though it’s hard to find 8 people wanting to rank up that are good sometimes… with my schedule.

I have been playing BTB for over 10 years. BTB was actually ranked in H2, H3, Reach, and H4. To see your H4 ranked stats you have to go to Waypoint to see your rank number. Reach was supposedly ranked but the rank was hidden. Some sites “halo tracker” tracked the halo stats and they were fairly accurate. It has almost always went by wins losses for the rank.
At some point BTB has always been ranked, just sometimes ends up social. I liked ranked BTB back before the onslaught of quitters destroyed the Halo series. So now BTB absolutely MUST have JIP. So that is why it was moved to social. Again, thank the quitters for ruining this series.

yea, didnt say I was good.
But final score was 100-92. 5 of the Placement guys went a total of -31 total between them. You cant win a match that way.

I hope they keep one version of the playlist ranked with more gametypes like 1-flag on guillotine. If not there goes my highest rank as diamond in a playlist haha. Not counting my Onyx in FFA as its easy to rank higher in that playlist.
On Halo 5 i played BTB ONLY because it was ranked . Due the horrible maps now + unranked I will not play it more . Just my opinion

And replace them with what?
I LOVE BTB, but I always prefer to play it with Objectives over playing it as Team Slayer.

I also prefer BTB with objectives. I am just glad they added JIP back into BTB.
