Early on in Halo: Reach I loved to play BTB. But as time went on the introduction of new “forge” maps and less of the classic maps, I really avoided BTB. The playlist I loved was Squad Slayer for several reasons. When that was taken away, I decided to try some BTB again. I really like the changes 343 has made. The addition of “Heavies” is something I really like as gauss hogs are now in multiplayer something I have not seen since a long time ago in Halo 4 Big Team. I just tried that yesterday with a few friends. It was pretty fun even though a few times I’m not sure what was going on.

BTB is FUN again, I agree.
It’s interesting how things play out. Some people play Heavies but never use the vehicles. I jump into the best one I can find and come out guns blazing. When I finally get taken down, it’s time to jump into the next one. If there’s nothing up, find a power weapon, if not it’s DMR time. I find that I don’t spend as much time wandering around looking for targets, it’s a much faster pace.
I agree, the Gauss Hog had to return at one point.
Easy unfriggs for my friend and easy road rage for me.
The only downside is the hog can be flipped by DMR barrage…
Actually the most fun I’ve had in Reach in a while! I love getting my dangerous driver commendation up with it! Plus, I never go in vehicles, so nine times outta ten, I have a pretty good advantage. 
I hate playing team slayer, I feel the same way about squad slayer. I prefer being matched with larger teams. 5 on 5 was excellent! 8 on 8 in some games is too much, like boardwalk. Btb on boardwalk is aweful. Boardwalk on its own is bad enough due to the poor spawning. What I mean is that if you’re on red team you’re in luck - rockets, plasma launcher, sniper all on one side, while the other starts with the sniper and shotgun from the start. Won’t say anymore, this is not the thread for complaining. Btb heavies is my favourite, although because of not being low on ammo all the time or cross maping I have improved so much more than if I were to play normal btb. My aim, profficiency, strategies, all are better now.
I can’t stand BTB right now because of heavies. Why does everyone feel entitled to a vehicle or a power weapon? Kids today!
Im relative neutral on btb though i hate hemorrhage with a passion. Spartans and their hemorrhoids. Anything for less hemorrhage, im down for. I loved BTB in halo 3, mainly because the boards gave a pretty fair chance for foot people like me versus vehicles.
Me and my brother and friends hardly use the vehicles. We might let one of our guys get the tank and go boss in that. But usually we all stick close together and set up on points of the map and DMR people as the scrabble to get weapons and vehicles. This works great on Asphalt as the vehicles are hard pressed to get you.
