So how can i play objective when they took Team objective out, and noone votes objective in BTB?
Seriously… its an instant 8 votes every-time it comes up.

The players who like Infinity vote for the same thing every time because they like variety.
… Wait…
Rotational playlists?
There is always the CTF playlist (does action sack still have lightning flag?) and multi-team, though I think mult-team isn’t the ideal choice for objective games.
As mention in a previous topic I mostly play BTIS aka BtB now & I have played both CTF & KOTH several times today.
Games I might add I have never been interested in playing before!
The voting system sucks. You get the same thing over and over again. Go back to the veto system Halo 3 had or just give people a map and game type and they can deal with it.

> 1. Notes:* Choose between Team Slayer or Infinity Slayer as the main slayer-based objective w/ Regicide being the (possible) 2nd. Remove the KotH game-type/variant because there’s going to be a dedicated playlist for it that’s part of the rotational lineup, but also because 2-site Extraction which currently isn’t queued-up for the rotational lineup provides for a more intriguing big team non-slayer-based objective game-type/variant than KotH. Having more game-type/variants than vote options (only 3) means that people will have less opportunity to play what they want when they want it; this invites additional match quitting which also puts an extra burden onto the JiP system and in-turn invites further criticism towards it. The excess criticism can be avoided considering the quantity of game-type/variants offered within the playlist can easily be reduced down from 5. Now, IMO choosing to offer a 4th game-type/variant in the playlist should also mean that whatever game-type/variant is chosen by a lobby will not be available for selecting again in the next lobby’s vote options – providing some consistency in expectations. I would also recommend that the game-type/variant offering not feature a set priority order and instead elect to rotate the priority; for example: a slayer-based variant won’t always be featured as the 1st selection choice – the order would constantly rotate and work alongside the idea of removing the previously selected variant (if 4 options are used instead of 3).
> 1. Map Selections:* Most importantly all included game-type/variants should be available for each and every included map within the playlist. Also, there’s no reason why all the large-ish maps shouldn’t be available for selecting, so please add all the relevant DLC maps too.

I highlighted the most relevant aspect of this feedback that I provided within the Big Team Battle feedback thread to this thread’s topic. I think it provides a best case scenario solution considering that it’s unlikely that 343i will reverse their decision to merge the slayer-based big team playlist and non-slayer-based big team playlist.
It shouldn’t really be surprising Big team infinity slayer playlist was way more popular than big team skirmish. Objectives game types are going to get consistently outvoted quite a few times. It would seem like an objective player would get to play less objective games than they normally would.

I, on the other hand, only ventured into the other playlists when I specifically wanted to play those other modes. I personally had no problem with the other modes, I just preferred BTIS to them by a wide margin. I’ll likely not vote for anything but a Slayer variant. But that’s simply what I want to play.
It’s actually one of the things I always like about CoD. You want to just shoot at the other team, you pick that mode. You want to play CTF, you pick that mode, instead. Trying to make people vote over wildly different game types is only going to result in a lot of annoyance. Yes, I know that’s how Halo was, but look at the numbers. Slayer and its derivatives account for most of the active players. If people really stopped playing just because they had to go to a different playlist to play CTF instead of slayer, then the game is better for their departure. Honestly, if those 2 extra button presses are so hard, you have bigger issues than not getting your preferred game type.
After the change, I’d wager that objective modes are getting played even less. We already see how often people vote for slayer over an objective, and I’ve seen 3 slayer games pop up for voting. If you wanted to play an objective game, this change probably did more harm than good. The slayer guys got the occasional annoyance of not playing slayer, but odds are you won’t really see that very much. The only time a non-slayer mode even garnered enough votes when I was playing today was after staying in the lobby for multiple games, making it easy to simply drop out and get a new group that would play slayer.
I am getting very sick of the “but this is the way Halo should be” argument, though. No one is benefiting from the new BTB list. And to assume that not having BTB at launch is why the population dropped so harshly in Halo 4 defies all credulity.
I just don’t see why its so hard to have an objective 4v4 or 5v5 playlist. Its a staple of every past halo i think. (don’t quote me on that)
People want to shoot and kill things for points. Give them slayer playlist.
People want to have objectives (oddall, koth, flag, extraction, assault, etc) Give them Objective playlist.
I just play Ricochet for my objective fix personally. Still get your Oddball commendations and it’s a lot of fun. The population of the playlist is decent too.
