BTB Heavies Player summary....

first off, BTB heavies gets chosen 80% of the time now,
but i’m completely fine with that, i love BTB heavies. but the things people do are annoying

there are two types of people, Normal people, and the noobs
others may call them griefers , i call them noobs

the things that these noobs do in game is annoying as hell;
some examples:

Scenario: There’s a free tank. and one of your teammates takes it
what the NORMAL player would do:

A) “dangit, ohh well, i’ll just get in the gunner seat”

B) “dangit” fires 2 or 3 shots into allied tank out of frustration and walks away to find something else to do

what the noob would do:

A) “OMG, HE STOLE MAH FRIGGIN TANK” grabs plasma pistol, and contiuolsy EMP’s him until he runs out of ammo

B) “OMG, HE STOLE MAH FRIGGIN TANK” * attempts to destroy the tank, or kill the driver, succeeds, but doesn’t get booted*

this is just an example, i could name many more Grefing actions that these guys do on a match-wise basis

too many of these noobs are in BTB now that BTB heavies have been introduced
and it’s getting annoying

I agree completely, but its Btb what do you expect?

100% agree. It is amazing what a tank or wraith can do to the though processes of some people. The only option is to try and get a full party of 8 before you play and if you play solo dont get in the vehicles.

yeah it stinks but what are you gonna do, noobs that are bad frequently get mad

and what’s worse is that 70% of poeple don’t even know how to use said veicles effectively

examples:

-Using LAAG hog against tanks
-Using Wraith against aircraft (i’ve seen it)
-Trying to “snipe” poeple across the map with rockets or LAAG
-Using heavy weapons for anything except anti-vehicular proposes
-using SP laser to snipe
-Going on a splatter “spree” with a warthog

just to name a few

100% agree with that too. But at least heavies is exposing players to more vehicle use so some payers are getting better. I find anything other than the Gauss Hog best used in a defensive role.

Come again? did you say 80%? 4/5ths? Lucky for you, when I play 9/10 btb games is normal btb and not heavies. NOBODY plays heavies when I get on.

The 80% Heavies sounds about right.

As to the N00bs, I just hop into the next vehicle. Focus on what you can do something about.

I played Heavies for the first time a couple days ago (don’t really play BTB that much) but there were some grifers when it came to vehicles.

I got EMP’d about 2-3 times because I got into the Wraith before someone else could. I also got shot a couple times in the ghost lol

This is why I never go into BTB without friends. Yes, it’s difficult to get a full party together, but your chances of running into this exponentially decreases with the amount of friends you go in with.

Going in with randoms, however? All bets are off. It’s a complete gamble, and you really need to realize that when you’re going in. It’s really the most random and unpredictable part of the game, and unfortunately, unfix-able.

I only matchmake in full teams, so griefing is NEVER an issue for me.

Take a note, this point may save you ALOT of frustration and win you ALOT more games in the future.

I love heavies, in fact the only heavies map I don’t like is Asphault, which is why I’m glad it is being fixed. To be honest Asphault would be an awesome map for normal play, with alot less vehicles and heavy weapons on it.

But anyway, when are we gonna see Heavy Headlong, and Timberland in Anniversary BTB?

Successful troll is successful, they wanted you to get mad and it has clearly worked as you have made a thread here.

I fall into the normal catagory. In normal btb I get the falcon as I usually play with my brother and can get him to a running riot or rampage easily. In heavies I’ll take the tank sometimes but there are so many rockets around the map like on cragmire I just run around doing that. Or getting the laser and blasting falcons out of the sky. Heavy weapons don’t make for good close quarters encounters. Same goes for sniping with rocket/laser/plasma launcher/fuel rod gun.
