I’m really getting fed up with this kind of crap. I usually play BTB to just relax and have fun. But its really becoming a problem with teammates that betray you for weapons. Like when I’m playing BTB and am running towards a sniper or any power weapon, I look around to see if any teammates around. I grab the weapon and boom, I got a teammate literally chasing me for 5 minutes just for the power weapon. Like really man, what the hell?! Yeah, I know, I’ve reported the people that betray and stuff. But I get a little paranoid each time I run to grab a weapon. Will a teammate kill me to get the weapon? Will he chase me down just to get 1 kill with it and die? Why cant they change it to have friendly fire off like in Warzone? Is it too hard to put in BTB? I had 2 games where I had teammates shooting me and 1 killed me and teabagged me just for the hell of it. Went on a bit of a rant, sorry for the long read. Just really tired of this kind of BS
Yeah its very irritating with the mantis on Antifreeze too
Constantly happens too me as well which I suck it up betray them and bag them. One time I was in the banshee and my OWN team starting splasering me. It’s always been a part of halo especially in reach.
That’s when I get infront of them and make sure they die.

I played with a fireteam once and I this random kept betraying people for weapons. We all decided he had to go. So we made him betray us and he got booted. We sent him a message “Enjoy your ban” he sad thanks to us he got banned for 12 hours.
There’s no benefit to having friendly fire, especially in a playlist like BTB. All it does is cause -Yoink- like this to happen, teammates killing each other over a weapon, and then they spend the rest of the match trying to get revenge on the other until one of them gets booted, leaving the team with one less player. Seriously, I’ve never seen or heard anyone (who is still sane) say anything like “Oh man, I’m so glad friendly fire was on! If it wasn’t, my teammate wouldn’t have been able to kill me just now and that would’ve been unrealistic!”
Its just annoying ya know? I just wanna relax in BTB

Whatta a noob.
It’s really sad when there are apparently a lot of people out there that find joy in other people’s suffering and go out of their way to inflict it. The textbook definition of this is sadism and it’s quite scary how common it actually is. Studies have also shown that people who exhibit sadistic traits do so more often when they know they’re safe from repercussions, say an online troll. That’s why they say that most bullies are cowards and will leave you alone when you fight back. They seek out easy targets because they want only one thing, the target to suffer in some way and a fair fight doesn’t guarantee this. So betrayals in Halo are a way to achieve this. Even if you betray them back or annoy them in some way, they know they’ve ruined the match for you. No matter what changes are made, they’ll always find a way to get off. If full on friendly fire was turned off to a point where it was completely impossible to hurt a teammate or vehicle, they’ll just look for another way to annoy you. Maybe grab a power weapon and hide away with it for the entire match so you can’t have it. Maybe intentionally fire off all rounds right away and then drop it. Maybe they’ll take a vehicle and drive it off the map on purpose with you on it. Who knows.

I try hiding but the idiot teammate hunts me down. They’re relentless man, bunch of little kids
Can’t you guys just avoid people’s shooting? Or besides the trollers (who are there to have fun), couldn’t you join a fire team?

Its impossible to “avoid” the kids that do that kinda crap. They chase you down where ever you go. I’ve played with a fireteam before, still happens with randoms.
