I don’t know what it is but BTB feels wrong, where are the power vehicles? Where are the BR starts? And where are the power weapons to fight over?
Nothing in this playlist feels right, we have players standing around waiting for Battle Rifles to spawn, we have Tanks, Wraiths and Banshees spawning in with mere seconds left on the clock. Who came up with these dumb ideas?
BTB should be carnage from the off, large scale battles with heavy vehicles, flying vehicles and foot troops all going at it like there’s no tomorrow. What we have now is just giant arena matches, enough is enough. Come on 343i sort BTB out and give us the game type we deserve.
(P.S. can we also have neutral flag, neutral bomb and assault please)
Yep lots of work to be done. Need BR starts or at the very least more weapon racks. Having to choose between going out with a pistol or doing nothing, waiting for a BR to spawn is getting old. It’s also insane to me that you’re not even guaranteed a BR either. I’ve had a few matches of deadlock where the two racks in your base are both commandos while the other side gets BR’s, what a joke.
I’m fine with the pelican spawn system, it just needs to be more frequent. No joke, I have not driven a tank yet. That’s a problem. Granted I’m not grinding BTB all the time but still, in any other Halo game I would’ve been able to drive a tank by now.
Heck yeah, on top of everything you mentioned, I’d add that vehicles are trash (no health, bad handling, half the sandbox is a vehicle counter and the shock-archetype is canc…I mean really bad… and the maps are ALL Formula-1 racetracks with no open spaces for vehicles to actually drive properly).

Hmmm. I actually really enjoy Halo Infinite’s BTB; I think it’s one of the best BTB experiences the Halo franchise. It does have many problems though. I think I enjoy it in part because I’m more of an arena player, and so a larger, but still focused arena experience is something I enjoy. That said, I think most people playing BTB want BTB to be like how it’s always been, and I think they definitely could strike a better balance.
They absolutely need to have the vehicle spawning be tied to score, since most of the time power vehicles never show up. It would be nice if they had a “heavies” gametype so that people on either end of the BTB spectrum could enjoy themselves. BR starts would probably improve it; I don’t really like how OP the AR has become. It feels like it was balanced around BTB and it ruins Arena. Vehicles also need a buff in general.
I disagree with the BR starts. But I do agree the lack of default map spawning weapons and vehicles is kind of a killing map control. Missing some gametypes is another and some of the zones being too close to each other is a drag on some zone control.
I’ve seen and commented on so many of these topics. You’re right about everything in my opinion and the demand is heavy for it to return to it’s classic feel, the ball is in their court now, hopefully they have taken notice of the feedback as they claim they do.
Vehicle Spawning is tied to Score, and it is terrible. Tanks will only spawn during a Game Point situation, which is why they so rarely spawn, and even when Players get into them the game ends 30 seconds later. Most even matches in BTB end too quickly, or stalemate with Low scores preventing said tanks from spawning. High Power having a normal, even if delayed spawn for the Wasp is the only reason most players ever get to fly one.
Dude, I’m with you 100%. Big team battle has always been my favorite playlist. In halo infinite I avoid it unless I have to play for a challenge. Stockpile is terrible. The vehicles aren’t fun anymore. It feels more like big team fiesta now. I think they are too worried about having everything perfectly balanced for competitive and a game mode like big team battle suffers. I hope they fix it. I have played every halo extensively, and this is not the big team I spent most of my halo career playing.
I keep saying it, it’s like the developers who created these new ideas have never played Halo, like there’s a rift, a disconnect between the halo experience and those making it.
More choice is fine, but BR starts tend to result in you barely picking up any other weapon, and the engagement distances on these maps are fine for an AR or pistol. And there’s a few BRs at base that at least 2 - 3 players have the weapon. If everyone had a BR, there’s no chance of you making it across any open ground. Think of it as a military squad, you tend to have one person with a long range rifle and the rest use your standard AR.
Can we also stop with these random weapon spawns!?!? One game it will be a BR next game it will be a Commando. Same for all the other weapons and like stated above the asymmetrical spawns is getting really old too. One team always has an advantage when it come to what and where weapons start. This completely destroys the flow and trying to be tactical.
