BTB DNF WTH???

For the 2nd time in the last few days I had a decent BTB game show up as a DNF even though I remember the whole match and had decent stats for the game. Just moments ago I finished a game on exile where I finished the game with 11 kills and 16 assists. I was wheelman for a couple of decent turret guys. There was one part of the game that had some minor lag but for the most part I had no issues. Waypoint shows the game as a one kill DNF?!

WTH?!

This happened to me one time as well. Although we played the entire match, there was a brief moment where the game chose a new host very early on, and I suspect this is where the game thought I disconnected or the game ended.

host migration maybe?

I had a game or two like that. One of which I happened to have saved the game reply. So I have proof that I played through the game.

Not sure why it really happens though.

I do remember a game that showed as DNF in my Service Record…although, from my end, it appeared as though most of the players in the game quit…except for me and a random guy on the enemy team. :stuck_out_tongue: Of course, I lost, but the game played through normally anyway. :stuck_out_tongue:

Occasionally when the host quits out and the game goes into black-screen it will give every player in the game a DNF and not count the game’s stats.

It’s happened to me 3 times that I can think of. My other DNF’s happened while the host was trying to migrate and for whatever reason couldn’t. Some of those games the other players completed the games but I didn’t. Of course I’m thinking it must but my internet connection even though I have 18Mbps with ATT Uverse. So now I’m taking pictures of the carnage report after each game with my iPhone.

I’ve come to learn that it doesn’t even matter if hosts quit or not. I have a recent game with no blackscreens and no one quit, yet the game DNF’d everyone. It’s obviously a server-side issue most times.

Please don’t. It’s a widespread and known issue and can happen with ANY game in an online environment. Posting pictures wont help because we all know of the issue, so you don’t need to prove anything. Best thing to do is just put it behind you and keep playing. There’s literally nothing else that can be done.

Same thing happened to my last night with 3 different games.

Every game ran to completion, there were no host changes, but the record only shows about half the game, and everyone is DNF.

If these were games that I did badly in, I wouldn’t care. But they are the ones I did best in and it really annoys me!

I have paid a bit of attention to this. Your stats for about 1 out of every 30 games in BTB will never show up… It has to do with a host migration that causes the game to split into two parts.
