> Every game goes to time. It is too easy to play Defence so teams will get one cap and then make no effort to cap anymore. They will sit in their base with 1 of the 100 power weapons that spawn on a big team map and drag out the game. It sucks and should be changed.

> For BTB the flag return time has to be increased. For the small, 4v4, maps it is fine because the time from stealing the flag to capping the flag is very short. BTB is a different story though. Getting the flag across the map can take a very long time, especially if there are no vehicles available. Because it take so long defenders are able to stop cap attempts, and because you can return a flag in seconds it makes it so people arnt pressured to play offense after they go up.

> Halo 4 did a lot wrong, but one of the few things it did right was the set timer on the flag return. Teams should be punished for letting the flag out. Likewise, teams should be rewarded for getting into the opposing base and grabbing flag.
So didn’t the other team push to your side, an offensive move, to get the flag and score? They played the objective and are currently winning, while your team was losing. That means YOUR team has to do soemthing to at least tie now, the other team doesnt have to play how you want them to lol. They already did work to score.
The other team can play however they want, so can your team. If team A is winning, that means team B must make a push to tie, team A does not have to play to how team B wants them to play. So if you are on the losing team, your team messed up and has to think of how to get the other teams flag. If nothing changes and you expect to win, that’s just insane, you wont. You’ll keep falling for the same bait/ trapping that the other team is doing.
2 ways to defend a flag:
a) Being in front of the flag, thus prevent any enemy from touching it->leads to the quick return, all someone would have to do is run to it OR
b)slaying until “option a” is possible-> using the long timer and baiting the flag until the team has good position to get infront of the flag and get a quick return.
It’s dangerous to try to return the flag in h5 if you are not infront of the flag and if your sprinting to it blindly without realize where enemy/friendly players are.
Sometimes, the flag is good bait, which can cripple btb teams if they over commit to a flag grab/return.
Both teams are punished for leaving the flag out in h5, in fact, it’s just as brutal/ punishing as it was in h2 and h3. It’s all about awareness and thinking in-game.
