Today i played some big team battle and right from the beginning i drove my teammate from our base to the enemy two timed with a rocket hog to back-to back flag captures in under 2 minutes. These turned out to be our only scores, I finished last and she took first place in our team.
I feel like I got little credit for my contribution, and the value of Flag Driver should be increased.
I would recommend trying to move away from relying on a scoreboard to show your contributions. There’s no perfect way for a game to really quantify contributions to a team’s performance.
Try to focus on the internal satisfaction of knowing you contributed and did well. I’m sure everyone you were playing with also valued your contribution to the match if that makes you feel better.
Ya there’s no way for the scoreboard to show everything. You know that if it wasn’t for you your team wouldn’t have captured the flag.
What about maybe the other guy that sniped an enemy flag carrier before he could cap?
Use your extra-XP requisitions. Choose “Mission: Victory”, which gives you a nice fat bonus if you win. That way, your contribution toward winning gets rewarded in XP, rather than if you had simply focused on scoring kills but lost the match.
I’m sure your teammates appreciated how that you stepped up to be the hog driver. You won’t believe how many CTF games I’ve played, where EVERYONE ignores the vehicles and runs off to play Slayer…
I totally agree but that’s how it is sometimes. I gift gold packs to people like you. Maybe it’s the low ranking player who only had 3 kills but died less than 9 times in a ranked match. Anytime you die less than 11 times in a ranked match betters the chance of winning. Or the guy who dies keeping 3 people busy while we capture a base, take down a boss or blow a tank.
I think you get a medal for being a flag driver if you score a flag, but I’m not completely sure.
The medal in question is rewarded to a player who drives their flag carrier back to the capture point, who will then score the flag.
