I FINALLY got into a BTB match of 2v2 players. Having a map designed for 28 players w/ only 4 is INTIMATE
Its special getting into such an elusive playlist with a lucky few other players. I love the state of Big Team Battle
Over the span of several days, it took me close to an hour of queuing to get into a match. It was worth the wait though: BTB is like an exclusive club, only a privileged few get while the commoners wait in line.
Why would I want 343 to “fix” this? A full game of 24 players sounds cramped!
I also got a match like that last week. It was a 2v3 Total Control in Deadlock. One of their guys left after they scored the first point.
After it became a 2v2, it took us 10 minutes to bring it back to 2-2. Total control is a weird meta in 2v2 lol. If you control 2 zones, they always spawn in the 3rd one so you have to be creative and ride a mongoose or something to kill em’ quick before they capture it.
Anyway they had a wasp spawn in front of them in the last minute and they took it 3-2 like that😂
I almost had a special bond with my teammate for a while there lol
I assumed this was satirical, but I wonder if maybe they can make a playlist for 4v4 or 2v2 on BTB maps.
Of course they could make any playlist they want, but I assume they are limiting playlists because of the limited playerbase, so that things aren’t too empty.
Sorry @l_Funkyfresh_l, but you have no right to tell people where they can or cannot post. This is a forum after all, and as long as people are respectful, their opinions are welcome everywhere on ‘Halo Waypoint’ whether they agree or disagree with you.
I hate BTB as it stands. I have very little interest in waiting for a long time to matchmake, and even less interest in waiting to play BTB to end up in a game with less than 24 players.
@l_Funkyfresh_l, no, I’m not wrong. Only the moderators are allowed to make those decisions. Last time I checked, you’re not a moderator. Most people use the term ‘haters’ as a way to shut down any dissenting points of view (even respectful ones) so they don’t have to debate with people who disagree with them, and that is not what a forum is.
@BlueDevistator I can see he is making fun of the horrendous networking problems, I get that. It wasn’t lost on me. I’m not taking it serious insomuch as stating that some people might actually disagree with him. I’ve gotten into plenty of ‘BTB’ games where both teams were full. Does it only connect 1/10 times for me? Yes, but I’ve never personally experienced a 4v4 in ‘BTB’ out of the hundreds I’ve played.
I have no problem thinking for myself, not sure where you’re drawing these bizarre conclusions from? Not sure why you’re engaging in petty insults, care to explain how that adds any credibility to your posts? You’re only reaffirming my points by being toxic/hateful towards me, you don’t seem to want to be fair minded when someone disagrees with you in a public forum (even when it is respectful).
I’d also like to see some evidence that you played a 2v2 ‘BTB’, have any video of it or screenshots to back up your claims? Just curious. You should be able to pull it up in theater mode if it actually happened. Without proof, people could mistake it for false claims or making stuff up (which I don’t think you would do).
@DarkChii01, humor is subjective though, I don’t personally find the thread funny in the least bit, but that doesn’t mean others don’t. You do you. However, as this is a forum, anyone is allowed to engage in a legitimate inquiry or debate on a subject posted in ‘Halo Waypoint.’ When @l_Funkyfresh_l tried to repeatedly ‘bully me’ with insults (without success) because he didn’t like what I had to say, that is when I understood he wasn’t interested in having a legitimate back and forth discussion (which the forums are intended for). I’m also rather skeptical of his ‘2v2’ ‘BTB’ claim (joke or not). He should be able to pull it up in theater mode if it actually happened. Blowing things that far out of proportion (‘2v2’ ‘BTB’ ) makes light of legitimate concerns about the game.
I’m not arguing that ‘BTB’ doesn’t have its issues, it very much does. I have problems connecting to games myself unless I logout/login after every ‘BTB.’ It is quite frankly, unacceptable in its current form; except for the fact that ‘343’ went on holiday (I understand the ‘Devs’ needed time off also).
If you understood that it was a joke (regardless of whether you found it funny or not) then why engage with it at all?
Do you check the door when someone tells you a knock knock joke?
