Just putting this here. I don’t like the fact that 343 only tested 5v5 Team Slayer and isn’t going to have another beta for BTB. Because the community has heard absolutely nothing of the two. I was going to go pre-order today but I decided not to because I’m waiting to hear if BTB will be in Halo 5 as well as playable Elites because there is a HUGE following for Elite players with that thread that got over what? 3k, 4k likes?
It’s also funny that both Reach and Halo 3 had BTB in their beta but so far there was already no beta for Halo 4, and only Team Slayer for the Halo 5 beta? I remember in a Vlog or somewhere 343 mentioned they hired people who hated Halo. So are they hiring people who hate BTB and letting people play as Elites?
If I hear nothing at E3, or after E3, I’ll stick to watching a Lets Play on Youtube.

No I don’t care if they dont have a beta for BTB , I care if they dont announce it or if its not in the game period. We didnt have any playable elites in Halo 4, hopefully 343 learned that with Halo 5.
They said they are adding stuff that will “Blow our minds” Maybe the 4v4 slayer was only to see if the mechanics worked and the game itself and then BTB is the new something special.

Of course BTB will be in Halo 5. 343 is that stupid. But playable Elites, I don’t know…One could only hope.

It’s not unreasonable to keep your expectations low. Especially the way publishers lie.

Oh I’m still waiting on some news about Halo 5 that’s gonna disappoint me, but BTB not being in the game isn’t it because there is just no chance that it won’t be included.
God I hope Elites aren’t playable. I understand that people like them, but when you play as them, you don’t have to deal with them. You hardly notice if you are an Elite… You can tell from one hand. However, everyone you play against has to deal with your awkward hit boxes. It harms the Arena Shooter approach of the game.

Plenty of Arena shooters have had different character models in a match, including a total of 4 Halo games now.
Elites don’t harm the ‘Arena’ aspect any more than female Spartans do, (which have different hitboxes as well) so unfortunately your aim was to blame… There is literally no other factor at play when you shoot at something, regardless of its shape.

First of all it was 4v4, and there were more game modes than just team slayer.
And 343 already said that the MP is going to be a lot bigger and that they haven’t everything there is.
I feel BTB needs a beta , regardless of other halo games that included it in their betas. With all of the new abilities, we should really have to test how they play out with vehicles. Such as ground pound on vehicles like slow moving tanks, or the ability to splatter with the ghost against spartan thrusters.
I’m sure 343 has tested these features, but maybe as a precaution to make sure they are balanced. However I know that would take away from launch excitement for the game mode if they do anything special with it.
