BTB 2.0??

Before the reveal im sure we were all hyped about the rumoured “BTB 2.0”. As it was revealed as only regular BTB with 4 extra players, I think its fair to say we were all a little let down. Personally, I was expecting some sort of invasion game mode with 50 or so players, as I think the halo community is desperate for invasion to return, rather than just standard BTB that weve been playing for the last 20 years. Im not saying that im not grateful for this as I am grateful that 343 has made an effort to improve, but there is just so much more potential for a bigger gamemode. Maybe they could use certain areas of zeta halo from the campaign as an invasion map and have teams defending and capturing outposts, which I dont think would be hard to do. If 343 see this I hope im not asking for much, but I would like to see something with a bigger scale. Please like if you agree.

I think it depends on the size of the map. If maps arw the size of some of Halo 5s warzone maps then it would be less chaotic. 12v12 on a Blood Gulch sized map tho sounds pretty fun.

Well, they’ve shown us Big Team Battle. The rumoured BTB 2.0 still hasn’t been mentioned as far as I’m aware. I’m personally not convinced that this rumour and the mode we’ve been shown are one and the same.

It’s possible, we’ll have to wait and see I guess.

The BTB 2.0 was a rumour & a prime example as to why we should take rumours with a grain of salt.

Whilst BTB has been revamped and part of the rumour was true (pelican weapon & vehicle drops, more players etc). I think a lot of people ran with the idea that BTB 2.0 was going to be some huge mode without any actual evidence of that being the case.

We also should note that this is our first glimpse into Halo Infinite’s Multiplayer. With Infinite being a live service who knows what the future holds.

The BTB they showed looked insane.

24 players is enough. I don’t get the want for more - you just end up with bigger maps to accommodate the masses and it makes it harder for you to run with your mates.

In the recent MP overview video they said something about the number of players and working with the numbers / map size to create “sci-fi chaos”. That is exactly what we need.
