Will The Brutes return? along side their weapons?
If they end up doing so, I can easily see new weapons as they moved further away from the prior covenants reign.
I would love to see the return of Brutes in Halo 6! Brute weapons and vehicles are awesome and there is a great potential for 343 to expand upon.

Didn’t the Brutes bring their own weapons into the Covenant?

They did bring their own weapons.
But yes, I would love to see the Brutes return, except, in a more protagonist role. I think it is time we see a more positive angle from The Brutes. They are long overdo for a bit of progress in their lore and culture. They are my favorite species, and they really deserve better than the short stick that Bungie cut them for the sake of writing bad guys.
Well they will most likely return in Halo 6, as we saw them in Halo: Escalation

Brutes may never get as much love from 343 as Elites do, but hopefully they’ll get some well deserved attention in Halo Wars 2 (and aren’t totally overshadowed by the obvious return of the Flood)
Halo Wars 2 should show lots of love towards the Brutes and their weaponry. I wouldn’t bet on a lot of new Brute weaponry/vehicles though (since I do believe HW2 takes place during the Human-Covenant War).
As for into the future, like Halo 6, IF they’re in, they’ll probably get a lot of new and sweet weaponry/vehicles, since Covenant manufacturing basically doesn’t exist anymore.

I dont think so. Brutes was more Bungie’s idea and I think 343 has something else on their minds.
I wouldn’t mind Brutes in a supporting role, provided they had good writing, and the writers cared about developing their lore.
I wanna see the Brutes move forward as a species, not regress further as generic bad guys.
I doubt we will ever see a vame with the Brutes as the lead character, but I am hoping for a supporting role or even a secondary lead role.

I would imagine they should return… I don’t think there was an event that removed them from the story

No, that was a fan fiction that was published on HBO.
The Brutes are still numerous.
