Do you guys think that brutes will be inclueded in halo 5? I missed them at first in halo 4 but didnt mind not having them after a while. Do you guys want them or not care?
Brutes were definitely a fun addition in Halo 2. After that game, they became really generic and dull. Halo 3’s Brutes fought exactly the same as the Elites. I would like to see them return In Halo 5: Guardians with some new gameplay mechanics added. Just bringing back that rage mode from Halo 2 would be awesome. We know the Brutes definitely still exist because we’ve seen them briefly in Halo 4’s intro and in the Halo: Escalation comics. They might even come back as allies.
As enemies… rage mode… as allies… rage mode…
Imagine if Brutes, Sangheili, Grunts, Jackals, Spartan-IV are versing the Flood… to which you play as Arbiter and Locke… player accidently shoots brute in the back and kills some, to which his comrades go bezerk and attempt to attack the player… thus giving that unsturdy alliance and the rage of the Brutes.

I would say Brutes will make a return eventually. They were in Escalation, so i don’t see why not. As long as they are different to how they play in Halo 3, then i’m up for it.
It would be FANTASTIC if Halo 5 had all the Halo 3 species. Promethians are mad mans but I enjoy the other speices.

They should return in my opinion. If part of Halo 5 takes place on Sanghelios (which it likely will at this point, seeing as it was in a trailer and in concept art) then it should feature the Jiralhanae asylum seekers and foreign workers that we heard of in the Kilo-5 series.

This, except I’m not sure I’d like to see them as allies. I’d love it if they were even MORE berserk in H5, and were just these crazy giant aliens that were more interested in tearing your arms off than they were in keeping their own. Kind of like the berserkers from Gears of War–just trains of destruction. And if you had a sword and one of THEM had a sword, the others might surround you and yell and holler, as if forming a mosh pit to force you into the “dual”. But then once you killed the sword guy in a one-on-one or pulled out a gun (dishonor!), they would all get mad and swarm you. There’s a lot of fun AI to be had with brutes.
Anyway, just a thought. Probably not a great one, but a thought regardless.

They should NOT be part of the Jul Madama’s ex-covenant faction.
Elites and Brutes hate each other. The Brutes will probably be a different faction and fight against the Elites. If the Elites are willing to kill Humans, I am sure they are willing to kill Brutes.
Elites and Brutes HATE each other to death. Even when they were both in the Covenant together they always had rivalry and got into physical fights. Not to mention they never fought together. If you notice in Reach you never fight Brutes and Elites at the same time.
Now Brutes and Elites already hated each other even while they were on the same side. But in Halo 2, the Prophets ordered the Brutes to kill ALL Elites. The Elites were betrayed by the Brutes and ended up leaving the Covenant. So all that hatred beforehand plus the Brutes shedding the blood of the Elites made matters worse. ALL Elites leave the Covenant and most join the Humans.
And in Halo 3 after the Human-Covenant war is over. The Elites head to their homeworld, and a few years later go to war with the Brutes and try to extermiate them from the face of the universe (Read/Watch Halo: The Return.)
With all that hatred Elites have towards Brutes, I highly doubt the Jul Madama and his other Elites will let them join their faction. Especially the fact that the two species are currently at war.
If Brutes do show up in Halo 5 or 6, they will probably be a different faction, and not only fight Master Chief, but they would also fight AGAINST the Jul Madama’s ex-Covenant faction.

Ummm… I dont like the Chopper however it’s powerful.
Anyway I dont like the brutes too. They are just a big creatures with much power and they’re stupids.
@Metroid Spartan One would think the Brutes would follow 'Mdama’s faction once he presented them with evidence that they had one of their gods of their side, and besides it would be something diffrent to see Brutes and Elites fighting with each other.
There better be brutes or im gonna flip a table.
theyll be in it. and i really think theyre gonna be their own faction, perhaps remants from forces left on the ark. and theyll prob look like a cross between their h3 and reach look. im really interested to see if they make h2a brutes look like brutes from h2 or reach. the fact that we know what tartarus looks like isnt quite enough, since his character is designed to be different to be easily identifiable.
It would be interesting if they had created their own variation of the Covenant like Jul and they had Grunts and Jackals too. Not sure if the Brutes are smart enough to do that but it would add another faction to the games.

I would love to see the Jiralhanae again. I like your seperate covenate idea. Maybe with the Kig-Yar Chol Von as a leader, because she wanted the Kig-Yar to have a military force more than just pirates and mercenaries. It makes sense for her to team up with a more powerful group, that she could guide to her advantage.

The brutal truth is that we may not see them again (we should see them in Halo War 2 I bet). There is a chance they will return in Halo 6 in some form or another, just like the flood, I don’t think we can avoid them forever.
