Brutes vs. Elites

Brutes vs. Elites
like tell me who you think is better in different categories like weapons, speed, and size

Elites, because they’re somewhat faster (as in Intelligence, Tactics, Styles, etc.). Brutes, maybe big and stronger, but they are slowly and have a habit of sticking themselves with grenades.

They do that all the time in Legendary custom firefight if catch is on.

I know. I crack up everytime they do that. I don’t know if i put it up on youtube, but there was one that the chieftain throw a grenade stuck on, then the one that was stuck threw a grenade stuck another and it was like a chain. Lasted a good 30 seconds. Funniest i have ever seen. Its funny that the wave lasted only 30 seconds because one grenade took out all the brutes.

Elites. They’re smarter, stronger, and have sense of honor in battles.

Brutes are not smart, they maybe strong but they lack in leadership. Lack of leadership=civil war. Brutes have a bad habit of going back in civil war it’s an endless cycle for them. They have no honor and they thirst nothing but bloodshed and war.

So in the Covenant military, Elites are the smarts while the Brutes are the brawns. Plus everyone in the Covenant does not like Brutes at all.

I can see why you are a big Elite fan. I have one question though, how do you feel about Elites not playable in Halo 4. I want to tell you, even though i like playing as a Spartan, im gonna miss playing as my Elite Officer.

The Elites beat the Brutes in literally everything but physical strength. The Brutes lost a naval battle three-to-one, and they had the exact same ships.

The only way a Brute would beat an Elite is if it fought it entirely hand-to-hand. Of course, Elites always have an Energy Dagger, so I think the Brutes are fifty shades of -Yoinked!-.

Doesn’t the name kinda give it away? I mean, Elites and Brutes…Elites would be elite(really?) and brutes would be, well, brutish.

Brutes are really easy to kill, just a couple pins to the head to pop the top off and kpow instant headshot kill. The only challenge they pose is with the chieftains (they have shields and charge at you with a hammer) but even they aren’t really that difficult.

Elites on the other hand allways have shields, can dodge shots, actually fight back when you get close and love to kick. Even though they very in ranks, they usually present their threat by working their way closer towards you with a small group of grunts.

I think the trophy for better game goes to the Elites but the Brute weapons are a lot more fun!

In Halo 2 they are not. You need Needlers to kill them and a shot to the head. Once they go berserk on you, you have to take them out quickly. In Halo 2 their body is alot tougher than in Halo 3 and Reach. In Reach, to me they’re pansies. They’re not strong or a good enough challenge than in Halo 2 or 3. Elites are always strong in all Halo games that’s why they are more challenging to fight than Brutes are.

@Riot Rojas: I am disapointed they are not gonna be in Halo 4 because of the armor. We all like armors for both Elites and Spartans but giving the deep in depth of the Storm faction by reading the books and on the internet, I have to say I’m glad for once we’re not gonna turn out to be like them. To real Elites, the Storm is a traitorous faction to the Sangheili. I can see and predict Jul will be killed off for his treason against his own people by not listening to his own people to work with the humans in peace. Instead he’s blinded like a Brute. Following down the dark path like the Brutes are that can wind up getting himself killed. Once Sangheilios and the Arbiter finds out about Jul and the Storm, I’m pretty sure there will be a man hunt to track him down and have Jul and his entire crew executed right on the spot. Probably Jul will be beheaded and his head on a pike to warn all other Sangheilis that disobeying a treaty will result in beheadings and executions. If my theory is correct, we could see the Arbiter return in Halo 5. We need to read the next books Karen is gonna make after Thursday War to really find out what will happen to Jul.

You know, i am praying that the elites come back and fight alongside the Spartans. I would really like that, even in Spartan Ops, if there is one hopefully in Halo 5. I would definitely have them on my team.

Not to worry there when there is a treaty they stick to it. Humans are not like the Prophets. The only thing you have to worry about if something like that happens is if ONI or Elite factions such as the Storm, make a mess out of it. To me ONI is just like the Storm Covenant. Always stirring up trouble to make things worse for both species. As we saw in Reach at the very end when Halsey narrates at the very end, it seems ither the Forerunners or Sangheili made peace with the humans. Knowing Sangheili to be honorable species it seems both the Covenant and Humans will have technology upgraded and all species share Forerunner technology. Its part of trade and humans long before the war broke out, traded with Covenant on weapons and other various items. So it wouldn’t surprise me if Covenant are still trading with humans right now. Telecam trades with them because he needed weapons. Jul doesn’t since he hates humans he trades with Loyalists. When there is war, any faction will trade with one another despite hating one species like humans. We see this everyday in reality when it comes to trade.

@Alei Iakanee: I was referring to the brutes in Reach. Yeah the H2 brutes were a pain in the but (a pest really) and I almost always seemed to get sucker punched by a stray burserker*. And the H3 brutes were almost the same, but giving the chieftains temporary Invincibility!? Really!?

I know they were supposed to present a real threat and they cirtainly played their part, but they were real push-overs in Reach, nevertheless.

*this was back when I played H2 around 2002-2003

Elites, because Brutes in this game are severely watered down. They lacks the charisma and agility of Halo 2 Brutes and the tactical efficiency of Halo 3 Brutes. They are far from a great amalgamation.

Much of Halo: Reach’s Covenant AI became primitive. But at least Elites were convincing.

Halo 2 was released in 2004 :stuck_out_tongue:

> Halo 2 was released in 2004 :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s right I stand firmly -Yoink!--smacked corected.

I should’ve remembered this because I was at the midnight release

Sorry, It’s just been a long time and I’ve slept since then.

Practically slept through H3 and have been bingeing ODST and Reach.
