Brutes to return for Warzone Firefight?

So no Fist of Rukt but instead Tartarus’ Gavel we get In Ghosts of Merdian update.

So will Jiralhanae (Brutes) return for the Firefight Warzone when that is released?

Tartarus
Tartarus’ Gavel
Tartarus was a ruthless Jiralhanae chieftain whose meteoric rise through Brute society and the Covenant military was fueled by vicious bloodlust and cunning politicking. By 2552, Tartarus had eliminated or surpassed all opposition in his quest to serve the at the Prophet of Truth’s right hand atop the Covenant empire, overwhelming all opposition among his own people to become Chieftain of the Brutes. At the Battle for Delta Halo however, Truth’s plans for Tartarus to crush the Elite’s opposition to his rule would be undone at the eleventh hour by the Arbiter Thel ‘Vadam and a small but united contingent of human and Sangheili forces. Tartarus’ death at the Arbiter’s hands ended the chieftain’s plans to unify his fractious species, but his legend still inspires ambitious Brutes eager to build their own legacies.

During his ascent to power within the Covenant, Tartarus used his relationship with the Prophets to reward loyal lieutenants with advanced weaponry secretly forged within the Sacred Promissory. These vicious and unique instruments of war helped assure the rise in both position and influence of his own pack, and cemented key loyalties when grander machinations began to unfold.

The Brute rifle was spotted in the a Warzone Trailer.

The Covenant as we knew it disbanded in main but Jiralhanae are not dead as a species so they could return.

What are your thoughts will the Brutes return for Firefight?

If they do so…I would love to see them back with thier weapons and vehicles not only AIs running around with plasma rifles

Maulers, Brute-shots, spikers, hammers, berserk mode.

Yes please.

The species is not dead but was heavily crippled and was pretty much sent back to their tribe barring selves. Though technically this is all a simulation so who really cares right. That should basically release them from any lore restraints.

There are actually a lot of brutes that are on our side, which is awesome!

It would b nice, but I wouldn’t count on it. The brutes don’t act or look like elites so they would have to program them from scratch.

Yep.

If there are Gravity Hammers there should be Brutes, too. Hope they add them.

Brutes > Prometheans

I think the gravity hammer description says they’re UNSC modified, but i’m not sure.

If they were adding them it would make sense why firefight is considered to be so far out for release but they’re starting to build up the hype with little additional trailers. Like in our next update preview, they might show the brutes landing down or something.

I did not know this! Very cool. Can you source it for me so I can know more about this part of the universe?

I wann see all of their vehicles comeback too…a lot of the covenant cousin vehicles to the unsc should return…People keep saying falcon…I wanna see the falcon and the hornet return…I would also appreciate it if some of the legedary reqs appeared more often…I hoping for more chaotic gameplay…Phaetons rarely pop up and I’m sure a hornet or a tank even a mantis could destroy one even the focus fire of a hydra sniper br or even a pistol could kill that with teamwork…Does the SPNKR even have homing capabilities like HALO2 these are question that need to be answered I still don’t even know if the gravity hammer can deflect…All I know is so far Halo 5 is the most weapon balanced because of the variety…I also wanna see the plasma launcher and the grenade launcher from reach return with a buff…and the concussion rifle…Idk call me crazy but the way 343 balances their weapons they should fit in the game real well. I mean the scattershot seems perfect for fending off brutes with the gravity hammer.

I sure hope so, and I hope this will also prompt the return of the spiker, mauler, brute shot, prowler, and chopper.

| Just to clarify, there actually aren’t that many Jiralhanae allies. Lydus, the Chieftain who made his appearance in Escalations, has been the only Jiralhanae known to attempt to form a truce with the UNSC/UEG and the SOS. Unfortunately the peace talks fell through due to an outside attempt to assassinate the delegation. As it stands many Sangheili are currently still at war with the Jiralhanae, killing and enslaving all who oppose them. (Ref: The Return & Kilo 5 Trilogy) Now obviously that doesn’t mean there aren’t any Jiralhanae who could/are allies, but the numbers are very slim if there are any.

OT, I certainly wouldn’t mind having the Jiralhanae being added as enemies in both WZ and FF. We already have Gravity Hammers and know that the “Blood-Hand” variant of the Plasma Rifle will be making an appearance sometime (Ref: Seen in the new FF trailer.) in the future. The real question is what version (H2A/H3/Reach) of the Jiralhanae they’d choose or if an entirely new model would be used?

If they don’t appear, I’d at least be happy with getting all their weapons and vehicles in the upcoming DLC. I also wouldn’t mind having the Fist of Rukt, with its own unique model and abilities. |

Include brutes in firefight warzone ?
It is a good idea, especially include Tartarus as a boss to defeat.

Just to clarify the Jirhalhanae are very much still alive. The Sangheili didn’t eradicate or enslave them all.

Some Jirhalhanae tribes have even allied with human insurrectionists against the UNSC/ONI. Reference: The Last Light.

I think you need to read some of the newer books fellow Spartan, no disrespect but some of your information is a little outdated.

That said I am glad to see you and fellow Spartans agree that it would be good to get our ape like friends (foes) back in the mix for Firefight.

I agree I would also like to see a lot of their weapons re-introduced such as the Spiker and Bruteshots and I know a lot of Spartans that want the Choppers added.

I hope 343 read some of these as the fans have spoken!

A great idea we have Beam Rifles and forerunner weapons that would down Brutes like him with a lot more easy. Ouch that invincibility though…
