Will the Brute Shot return? Will the Concussion Rifle take its place again? Or will we see a whole new weapon to match the Rocket Launcher?
I ask because I LOVE trick jumping, and Rockets and other Heavy Weapons play a very big part in creating unique jumps.

I think the Brute Shot/Concussion Rifle has its place in the Halo weapon arsenal. Personally I would love either of them to return but of the two I would prefer the Brute Shot, its just a beast of a weapon and I miss it.

I agree with you both!! Plus it looks so much better! The CR model was too big compared to lil S-III’s lol
Brute shot was better but unless brutes make a comeback Id have to say my money is on the concussion rifle making a return so far. better at flipping vehicles at least.
As a side note I dont really want brutes back, they were sub-par quality enemies.
Only if they berserk like H2. In Glasslands there were a few Brutes mentioned as being faithful to Elites. The ship they hijacked with the Engineer had Brutes too
This is true so nothing is impossible so far. Halo 2 brutes were alright, just got boring either sticking them, using needler, or popping them in the head a few times. Berserking was their best quality made them dangerous
I prefer the Brute Shot so I’d love to see it make a return. That said, I’d love it if both weapons were in the game.

Dude, I dont think that the brute shot will return in Halo 4, as there will be no brutes in Halo 4. Without the brutes, there will be no brute shot. Ever seen an Elite using a brute shot? No, that’s because the Elites use the concussion rifle, which is the worst weapon EVER, because it kills anyone using a shotgun or a sword.
OT: I agree, I would love to see the brute shot return, and the concussion rifle to vanish, but I dont think that is going to happen…

I remember fighting Tartarus once in H2 and an elite with dual needlers jumped down to help… and sprayed him endlessly. It was supercombine after supercombine, Tartarus couldnt even move just kept flinching with each explosion it was great lasted at least a minute and a half. Didnt seem like the elite ever had to reload either just kept going. Didnt kill him if i remember right but Ive always wondered since then if the elite could have.

I still think it looks like a brute shot, and if its not then what armor ability is it, i was going back and forth between the jetpack picture and this one, i dont think its an armor ability.
Concussion rifle skin with H3 Brute shot damage and blast radius + H2 Brute shot projectile bounce = good Covie grenadier
But for a perfect one, it would have to have a special ability or alternate firing mode/projectile, say, like the plasma pistol overcharged bolt, which is a more powerful and versatile version (at least in CE).

Looks like another Promethean weapon to me.

Thruster pack maybe? Who knows… hope to see new weapon renders soon
I would love to see the Concussion Rifle return in Halo 4, it was such a cool weapon in Reach.
