In ODST, the red plasma rifle was exactly the same as the blue in H3, but was red. In H2, it shot faster than the blue plasma rifle, but was less accurate. Pls to return, with default blue as well?
Sounds good. More weapon diversity is always good. Good idea!
Also, the Brute Plasma Rifle had a slightly different shape. But I agree, I hope it returns for multiplayer. I hope every weapon returns for multiplayer. I doubt they will though.
Since those shots hit harder, you think it could get Plasma Stun back?
A 4Runner and Vespervin, we could really use the two of you in the “Automatics vs. Precision Weapons” thread. According to some people, more weapons is a bad thing. Maybe you can help me figure out why.

Sure, a little flinch and a “ouch” would make sense

I’ll take a look at your thread, but more weapons is a bad thing. We need less redundant guns like the AR & Friends in Reach. They all act the same, have the same kill time, just look different.
if the brute shot and plasma rilfe make it back i will be happy

Oh, how I want to scream.
I would love if it returned. I loved using it in Halo 2, when I got the chance to. Don’t forget about the Bruteshot. Also I would love if Halo 4 had more then one type of weapon.
For Example: I would like to have more then 1 Assault Rifle. Do what games like C.o.D, and Battlefield do. For each weapon type.
-Shotgun.
-Sniper Rifle.
Assault Rifle.
-Pistol.
-Rocket Launcher.
They give you a variety to choose from. Halo doesn’t have do it for matchmaking. But it would be nice to have a variety of weapons for:
-Custom games.
-Forge.
-Firefight.
-Campaign.

How is having more weapons a bad thing? It’s better to have a verity of weapons, than hardly any at all.

No need. I’m sure we can have a polite debate. You could PM me if you like. Or we could discuss this in party chat.

Yes, Bruteshot was on my favorite weapons. I like the Halo2 version more. I miss the bounce and the arc.
Am I the only one who would rather we get a new weapon to replace the Plasma Rifle rather than have the two old variations return?
> Am I the only one who would rather we get a new weapon to replace the Plasma Rifle rather than have the two old variations return?
I can’t speak as to that, but I, personally, want to see both variants return in addition to new weapons. I want choice, above all else. And let’s not forget that only a handful of weapons are featured on any one map at any one time; just because a game has one-hundred weapons in its sandbox, doesn’t mean that you have to juggle them all simultaneously.
brutes need more weapons in general
> Sounds good. More weapon diversity is always good. Good idea!
This. The same weapons over and over again get so boring, and I loved the Brute Plasma Rifle.
It wasn’t really less accurate, it just overheaded ALOT faster.
And it was a kind of fail. It was the only weapon in Halo History where you could hold the trigger, hit with every single shot, and it would overheat/reload BEFORE killing the player. Which was totally silly.
The Brute Plasma rifle was my all time favorite Firefight weapon in ODST. I got so many assists with it.

That simply forces players to pulse fire it to a greater extent than the regular plasma rifle, which encourages more varied and intelligent play–something I wholeheartedly applaud.

It is so refreshing to find someone who places just as much importance on assisting others as they do on their own kills.
