We’ve got to see the Brute Plasma Rifle in a future DLC because it would be good to once again use a Plasma Rifle, but it can be the Brute version of it considering how involve the color red is within the Banished and the Brute Plasma Rifle happens to be red.

Agreed. It should’ve appeared in the game at launch but sadly it didn’t make it. So, we’ll have to wait until a future version that adds it comes out.

What automatic plasma weapons are currently in the game?
The (Brute) Plasma Rifle fires superheated plasma for an increase TTK but it overheats quickly, what other automatic weapons in the game have this identity? I’ll give you a hint, there’s only 4 automatic weapons currently in the game and none of these fit that description.
Additionally, if you really wanted to get creative the Plasma Rifle is built for Dual Wielding. Without even getting into the entire sandbox just think about it… the weapon is designed to be held with one hand and it doesn’t even have a reload it just overheats. There is literally no logical explanation for not making the Plasma Riflw dual wieldable. A weapon that can be dual wielded would certainly add something to the game.
That take is just plain lazy. And like you said, without even taking the above into consideration it would look cool, it’s a good weapon for campaign for the Brutes and Elites.

Already sounds like a bad idea, but continue.
Lore wise its supposed to be two-handed, but I’m not a lore thumper so I won’t hate on that too much. 343i are more likely to give us spaceship battles before they give us dual-wielding. Balance is important to them, supposedly.
My point is that there are tons of better weapons that could be added that would do far more for the game. Halo 5 in particular had craploads of weapons and variants… Explain to me why the Brute Plasma Rifle should be priority number 1?
One of the so called leaks is that DMR is coming soon, I don’t like that because DMR isn’t even that important either, Stalker Rifle does the same thing, but at least the DMR could become a good Esports starting weapon, Plasma Rifle would just be redundant.

Ironically, in a game featuring the Banished where the Brutes reign supreme and the Elites are just soldiers in their army, the standard issue “Plasma Rifle” would likely be the “Brute Plasma Rifle”. At this point it might be more accurate to describe the classic Plasma Rifle as the “Elite Plasma Rifle”.
