Been playing lots of yhappening and I have discovered the brute chopper is useless…am I missing something, is there some special niche to use this vehicle? Also, the gungoose doesn’t spawn enough,… I sure miss Halo 5 vehicles and vehicle gameplay, Infinite is so lame in comparison….
I don’t generally use the Brute Choppers either. For single person ground vehicles I prefer the Ghost and even the Gungoose over it.
I’ve seen people do well with the Chopper too, it’s just I can’t seem to do as well with it as others.
It’s best when used against other vehicles and in open areas where you can “joust” with other drivers. The problem is that the narrow roads make it easy for spartans to set traps for vehicles. Also try to ram stuff instead of shooting.

If there is something in front of you and you can travel in a straight line and boost at it, it is pretty good. In any other situation it is pretty lousy. It handles poory, can flip at hitting the smallest ledge, and the accuracy and damage of its guns feels wildly inconsistent and unreliable.
I can’t believe nobody has told you yet that the Brute chopper boosting at vehicles, instantly blows them up. For scorpions and wraiths, leaves them at critical condition. I onced stopped a flag capture by flanking a warthog with a Chopper and blew them all up.
The bad thing about the Chopper is that its drifting is awful. Sometimes you even flip and don’t even know it since it looks the same the full 360 degrees.

Like 1 week after Infinite came out: This thing is trash lol
The problem with the chopper isn’t its gameplay, unlike the banshee which has so many problems it isn’t funny. No the problem with the chopper is freaking map design is hard against it.
The chopper is good in two situations, heavies where you have a lot of vehicles going around and its ram damage can easily wipe out 2 or 3 hogs where a ghost would easily be overwhelmed, and open maps where the chooper has freedom to use the advanced mobility of its thrust and hit from many angles.
Neither of which infinite really has.
That said the chopper and gungoose have one advantage as single person vehicles in that is both have splash damage and arcing shot which allow them to hit targets in low cover or around small corners.
